Um wow. I hope that was just a really bad sarcastic joke.

It should help you to understand why so many atheists really don't like Christianity. See also:

Pyrrho, this may be a surprise to you but there are some Christians who don't like Christians either.
I've said this a few times on here, this is precisely why Gandhi said "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians".
Far too many Christians simply do not act Christian

I wouldn't do it. If God told me to do those things, then He wouldn't be the God I thought I believed in.

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I am sure Drich was joking.
Not in my taste, mind you, but not all that different from the jokes some people here make about Christians, either.

I believe God is love and goodness, and that you can't separate those things from Him. That is why, as His creatures, we all have an inherent desire for love and goodness.
There are evil people out there, but even they tend to try to justify their horrible actions as part of some perceived "greater good."
Those are my thoughts, anyway.
Hope it helps shed some light on the question.

I wouldn't do it. If God told me to do those things, then He wouldn't be the God I thought I believed in. People do those things because other people tell them to do them. So you can bet that if some real God character showed up and told you to get busy doing as he says that's exactly what you would do.
