If Allah is a deity that thinks nine year old girls acceptable to marry then Allah is not a deity that I want to worship. Think about this for a moment. The creator of our universe cannot think of a better way to protect Aisha than to have her married to Muhammad. Sounds awfully suspect to me. But just because someone happens to marry a nine year it doesn't automatically mean they are a pedophile.
If you ask the Shia, Aisha was totally evil. Yet Allah did not foresee this? LOL WTF.
But seriously, even Aisha was suspicious of Muhammad, and this in Bukhari:

Remember, according to the Babylonian Talmud David knocked up Bathsheba when she was six (6 years old). And some people think David was the best Jew ever. When he was old and decrepit he had a naked pre-teen girl keep his sorry ass warm.

Wrong. Puberty starts at 13, may be 14 and ends at 17-18.
In western countries today the average start for puberty for girls is age 11, which is down from around ages 14-16 back in the 19th century. I assuming girls in 7th century Arabia started puberty around age 15-16. Therefore Aisha (if she existed) would have probably appeared way younger than what a typical nine or ten year old girl today.
Child marriage and legally being able to have sex with children has never been just restricted to the Islamic world, it was acceptable even in Western countries as late as the 19th century. To give an example to shame Christians, Mary the mother of Jesus was likely around age 13 or 14 when she was betrothed to Joseph.

How very thorough and thoughtful of you Hussy, can't imagine how you might be mistaken on that count. Yes, we all sit around the TV asking it to provide us with our values. Fucking moron.

Should I be embarrassed that my own great grandma was married at 13?

You got me. I was born and raised by a TV.
You need to learn about the tu quoque fallacy. Saying that "You atheists get your morals in a stupid way too" or "Well you have a stupid age of consent too" is not a defence of where you get your morals. Especially when what you say about us is made up nonsense.
My TV doesn't tell me that people deserve to burn for not submitting to it, so it is a superior moral guide. It doesn't make excuses for marrying children either. Trusty old TV. I'm trying to figure out where I came out of it.
Morality changes, because society changes. Saying morality is objective except where it's inconvenient for the story isn't very convincing.

So why should I be embarrassed I just don't lie like others here do .
I have 3 sisters one got married at the age of 16 and one at the age of 36 and another at the age of 28 so u see we don't force them it's just up to them to decide .
Early marriage is sometimes the solution for problems by example if my older sister didn't get married at that age and we refused she will be forced to commit fornication and even if that's ok in western society but look at the problems it's making many children are in the streets because of that.
So let's stop calling things as we hear them from others but as they truly are in a muslim community if u force ur daughter to get married at an early age is a sin and u will be ashamed by it and the same thing if u forbid her to get married and you will be considered unfair in both situations.
