Atheism the unscientific belief (part one, two, and three)

I'll take that as a no.

Snap!
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Stim mate.  Hi

You open my eyes.  Worship
I would have never thought that my guru was an impostor.  Demon
All this time i have been blind but now thanks to you i finally wake up to the reality.
Yes of course ALL gurus are impostors.  Panic
It just doesn't matter who is who.  Bump
They are all the same.  Indubitably
But please mate Stim unfortunately a little grain of doubt is left in my mind.
Just a little grain maybe 0.0001% that my guru is not that bad as you imply.
Can you please forward your evidence that my guru is an impostor?  Rolleyes
Thanks Stim, oh don't worry about those kudos.
They are on the way.
I already done all paper work.  Clap
If you don't get them by tonight let me know.  Consoling

Pool.  Hi

I really think you need some good advise so you don't get in trouble later on.
When people try to fly too high with their fantasy they may well fall down from
the high and crash badly. Shake Fist

Let us see what happen with these 247 pages.

After all these pages you guys failed to bring evidence that the consciousness is a product of the brain,
you fail to demonstrate that we got this particular consciousness thanks to previous generation, you fail to
explain what philosophy is all about, you fail to explain what evolution is all about, you deny that consciousness can survive the physical death despite so much evidence from people who had an NDE
and were not under the influence of drugs or anything else and despite that a neurosurgeon who had an NDE confirm that the brain was off at the time, you deny that a cell can have consciousness despite this is confirmed by a qualify researcher.
These pool are the pillars upon which the atheism stand on but how the hell can people believe in something that doesn't come with solid evidence? Tut Tut
Didn't anybody tell you that a house build with weak foundation will collapse?  Panic
So what the hell are you whining about the 247 pages when in fact is you that fail all the way around?  Wink

Again, atheism is NOT a belief so requires no evidence.

I can play word games, too.

My definition of yoga is that it's about collecting coins.

Therefor, yoga is about collecting coins. Rik collects coins.

It's called an equivocation fallacy.

Very smart Rik.
Especially the part where you ask us to disprove the presence of consiousness in a cell without even proving it.
I mean like, I don't have evidence to deny that you have a stick up your ass, so you have to have a stick up your ass, right?
Why are you denying it Ricky? I just evidently proved that you have a stick up your butt.
Now check if you have got a stick in there and wait for reality to sink in...

Coincidentally, they say "hot numismatism" is good for your joints...

Don't worry, my friend.  If this be the end, then so shall it be.

And you're still lying about this.  I brought you a list of evidence for the proposition recently.

And I warned you that I would call you out on it if you kept denying you'd been shown evidence.

Now you're just a garden variety liar.

Quote:Some kind of material, computational substrate is a necessary condition for the existence of a mind (whether it is sufficient is a different, irrelevant issue). In humans, the brain is this substrate. We know this principle as a scientific fact, for five reasons. I quote here from The Case Against Immortality, by Keith Augustine.

(F1) The evolution of species demonstrates that development of the brain obtains a corresponding mental development.
“First, phylogenetic evidence refers to the evolutionary relationship between the complexity of the brain and a species’ cognitive traits (Beyerstein 45). Corliss Lamont sums up this evidence: “We find that the greater the size of the brain and its cerebral cortex in relation to the animal body and the greater their complexity, the higher and more versatile the form of life” (Lamont 63).”

(F2) The same principle is demonstrated by brain growth in individual organisms.
“Secondly, the developmental evidence for mind-brain dependence is that mental abilities emerge with the development of the brain; failure in brain development prevents mental development (Beyerstein 45).

(F3) Brain damage destroys mental capacities.
“Third, clinical evidence consists of cases of brain damage that result from accidents, toxins, diseases, and malnutrition that often result in irreversible losses of mental functioning (45). If the mind could exist independently of the brain, why couldn’t the mind compensate for lost faculties when brain cells die after brain damage? (46).”

(F4) Experiments and measurements on the brain (EEG, stimulation of various areas) indicate a correspondence between brain activity and mental activity.
“Fourth, the strongest empirical evidence for mind-brain dependence is derived from experiments in neuroscience. Mental states are correlated with brain states; electrical or chemical stimulation of the human brain invokes perceptions, memories, desires, and other mental states (45).”

(F5) The effects of drugs show correspondence between brain activity and mental activity.
“Finally, the experiential evidence for mind-brain dependence consists of the effects of several different types of drugs which predictably affect mental states (45).”

No, it's not hard at all.

It's friggin' impossible.

Like trying to translate for a record-breakingly 'special' toddler who tripped over his own tongue and hit his head while hopped up on crystal meth.
