Short answer? No. 

Long answer:

I don't think he's entitled to it, frankly. For multiple reasons. However the main point is that it is not everyone else's responsibility to protect his privacy, it's Ashley Madison's and they failed to do so. All I have to say to that is, too fucking bad. Let's not mix this up with some kind of 'right to privacy' like how you have a right to privacy in what you do in the bedroom at home. When you go on the internet and sign up to a site like this, you're fully aware (or should be) that you're leaving such privacy in the hands of the people who run the site. And let's be real, the NSA is probably snooping on everyone's activities anyway, so anyone who thinks there's such a thing as privacy on the internet is a little naive IMO.

I don't have any sympathy for the guy though. He's a hypocrite and has been exposed as such. 


In the case of whether hacking these sorts of sites is moral in the first place, I'd say it isn't. But it's a little different to expose the details of people who are out there cheating on their wives/partners (while preaching that it's wrong to do so), to exposing people who have accounts on other websites that are otherwise perfectly harmless and not immoral in and of themselves. Which is why my personal attitude towards this, is one of "too bad lol".

Oh c'mon dude. He's not literally going to be beheaded because of this (although the threat of such and his response to it would be a nice dose of reality for him). Don't feel too fucking bad, I'm sure he's made plenty of money on the back of his preaching and hypocrisy. Bottom line is he didn't live the 'clean life' he claimed and preached about. I have far more sympathy for the women he's lied to and the impressionable people he's duped throughout his life. 

He made his bed and has to lie in it. I really have no sympathy at all.

On the other hand, I'm totally uncomfortable living in an age when people can have the details of their private lives made known with a single massive hack and then have it used to discredit their message, however much it is one I stand in opposition to.

Well, you know, if they just practised what they preached they wouldn't find it so embarrassing. Like I said on the other thread, if this were some harmless website that was targeted I'd have some sympathy, but it's a fucking affair website for christ sake. If these people didn't want to be exposed as cheaters, they shouldn't have cheated (or looked into the idea, whatever their reason was for going on this stupid fucking site). 

I don't buy this notion that people should be uncomfortable about this, you should know the risks when you 1. sign up to such a site and 2. instigate an affair and 3. know that it conflicts entirely with your public persona. 

IMO it's fucking brilliant from start to finish.

Well considering his company was founded in the UK, and he conducts all his business in the US and UK, I don't think we have to worry about him being beheaded. A little overboard to suggest this might actually happen.

Worst case scenario is he won't be able to go to the middle east, but then, you're probably as likely to die from a suicide bomber over there anyway.

Besides, looks like most of his idiot followers actually believe his conspiracy bullshit.
