Haha, I voted CAT before I read the OP because I like cats the best lol. But after reading the description, I see that I'm a dog.

My wife sometimes describes herself as a licky dog when she finds herself being too accommodating. Personally I wouldn't mind if she was accommodating herself to me.
Not all dogs are loyal and grateful, and not all cats are indifferent. There's my answer.
