I'll take a wait and see position. Additional funding for science sounds great. Nat Geo retains editorial rights.
The Nat Geo channel (in bed with Fox since 97) may have more sketchy shows to compete for the dollar but have you watched them recently. Just pulled up their shows for the AM: Dead End Express, Alaska State Troopers, Rocky Mtn Law, Southern Justice, 9/10-The Final Hours, Smokey Mtn Money. Not what I think of when someone mentions Nat Geo.

21st Century Fox =/= Fox news.
Although Rupert Murdock owns it all, they bought NatGeo like a decade ago, and the channel is not propaganda, it's what you would expect from the national geographic channel. The fox tv channel still has very liberal TV shows (Aka Family guy, AMercan Dad). It's only Fox news that he fucks with.
I am not worried. The staff making the magazine has not changed.
