Religion is not a suitable subject for children to learn about until age 7.
One simple rule to kill religion in one generation.

Make that twelve.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

Sure, twelve it is! I was giving them a fighting chance. At twelve, it would be game, set and match. A generation of parents being laughed into oblivion by their children.
On some level, they know this. They don't dare leave it that long.

These are all arguments and illustrations I have used on Theists.
They are all my own, and original, to the best of my knowledge:
1. If there IS a just and loving God out there, He probably despises Religion. "
Religion doesn't serve God. Religion serves Religion.
2. Not only is Religion NOT the bridge to God,
but Religion is the single greatest OBSTACLE between Man and God,
if God is there, to be found, at all....
....There is nothing more heretical than Religion.
3. Imagine an authentic, high-end designer boutique, named 'SCIENCE'
and the product offered inside, is genuine, quality TRUTH;
...and now imagine Religion as a tent set up outside the boutique, on the sidewalk,
selling tawdry knock-offs, merely painted, in cheap, toxic gold paint, with the word, 'TRUTH'.

Or, Sorry, you all need to be relocated as we have a better use for the land your occupying. Don't worry, Death Valley is just a name. We'll have it changed to Gods Country! Please report to the nearest relocation center. The non compliant will only receive "you know whose" wrath.
I know this is a joke, and I like you mh, but I'd be curious to see what the reaction around here would be if a theist said these same things about atheists.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

If we knew they were being as tongue-in-cheek as mh was obviously being, we'd laugh.
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost
I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

You say God is beyond comprehension, then you tell me a load of very specific things you comprehend about it.

Until you have proof you only have an opinion and are legally obliged to not refer to it as a belief.

Emotions are not a good tool for learning the truth.
It makes me really angry when people do that. So I can tell it's a bad idea.
