Psalm first of all the Gnostics had already existed and their writings have been found in the caves by the Dead Sea have you ever read the dead sea scrolls? They sound alot like Christians but they predate Christianity.Alot of these religions piggy back off of each other. In the dead sea scrolls they mention the messiah etc. but he does not have a name. Its possible that some elements of the gnostics beleifs may have been incorporated with Christianity. Also just for your information there is a man out of Puerto Rico who has started a religious movement. He has convinced thousands of people that he is the anti-christ and has his followers tattooing 666 on their bodies. He has that tattoo and he also has one of a triple S which in Spanish stands for Seis, seis, seis 666.He has put a positive spin on the scriptures regarding the anti-christ and his movement is growing quickly. He calls himself the messiah and has even stated that "he does not understand why people keep looking for Jesus to return when he has already arrived" referring to himself as Jesus. That just proves that starting a religious movement is not as hard as one might think.

Quote:I see ... so it's a conspiracy? No, it's not a conspiracy. Islamic leaders believe this discovery contradicts the Qu'ran! Quote:Quite easily if your Christ was a spiritual concept and never had a physical presence which is what the Gnostics, in common with many of the mystery religions of the time, appeared to believe. This cave proved a man called 'The Christ' existed in 33 A.D. Quote:It changes atheism in no way at all especially, since you dummies can't seem to understand thi simple idea, as atheism is not a philosophy. This discovery puts atheism at risk of total failure. Atheists have claimed over the last several hundred years that Jesus Christ was a mythical super-hero invented by the Gospel records many decades after his death. Now we are finding caves where Jesus did have followers in 33 a.d. Long before any Gospel account. But now archaealogists are discovering caves where Jesus Christ did in fact have followers long before the Gospels. This cave was discovered in Jordan, by a Jordanian archaealogist, which means he is more than likely a Muslim/Islamic believer. Why would a Muslim claim Jesus' followers fled from Jerusalem into Jordan soon after his death? I don't know why skeptics have such a hard time swallowing their pride, and openly admitting Jesus Christ existed in the first century, and he was a well respected, and well known Jewish Rabbi that claimed to have the powers of God in him. People, it's a proven fact that a man called, 'the Christ' existed in the first century. This is not a mythical story invented by a bunch of "delusional" men with nothing better to do than make up stories about 'super-heroes." ![]() (December 8, 2008 at 6:29 pm)Jason Jarred Wrote: I was going to say - 'what is an anti-christian archaeologist?'. Jesus existed, my friend. You must face the facts sooner or later.. He is apparently very dangerous! He is claiming to be the anti-Christ and Jesus the Messiah? That is not possible. These are two totally different people. Quote:That just proves that starting a religious movement is not as hard as one might think.Yes, anyone with a sane mind knows this man is crazy. And he is portraying himself as the messiah and the anti-christ. Anyone with a sane logical mind knows when Jesus returns, it will be very swift. He's not coming back and hanging out for 50 years. lol. Tell this mysterious "antichrist/jesus christ the messiah" guy out of Puerto Rico that someone in this forum bulletin board wants to chat with him for a minute. lol. I will disprove him in 2 seconds flat. Case dismissed. (December 9, 2008 at 1:14 pm)Psalm 23 Wrote: Jesus existed, my friend. I know Jesus, he's in my Aikido class - neat guy. I suggest you look it up before you continue. It's evidence a man called "The Christ" existed in 33 A.D, but that evidence has all sorts of things that need to be researched. They are not even 100% certain the dating is accurate for FSM's sake! "The Christ" is a very ambiguous title, and it doesn't necessarily refer to Jesus. These are questions that need answering before you can go off on a tangent saying this somehow "proves" Jesus. Quote:This discovery puts atheism at risk of total failure. Atheism has existed longer than any religion. The only way atheism can ever fail is if you can prove 100% empirically that a God exists. It is no consolation if a man called Jesus turns out to have existed, because unless you can prove that what was written about him was what actually happened, atheism still holds. "We have "EVIDENCE" to believe this cave was used by the followers of CHRIST." Read it again, and do not respond until you do. Atheists come right out and admit Jesus didn't exist, but now we know that is sheer and total nonsense because we are discovering caves where Jesus' followers worshipped him long before the N.T was written. Quote:Do you have any facts to back up your assertion that a man called "the Christ" existed in the first century?Dr. Al-Hassan the Jordanian archaeologist has the evidence. Evidence that Jesus existed has been discovered. Now, round two, proving he performed miracles. It's all coming together before the end of days. The bible says, "They will be without excuse". That means you!
lol
