NC Church Caught Practicing Christianity - Neighbors Complain

I am the only Atheist I have heard of in Missouri, and I know that Missouri is more left wing then NC. NC public schools force religion on students.

Somehow I doubt the people who complained there were Liberal Atheists.

First off, I hate the word "practice" in regards to religion. How does one "Practice" "The Force" or practice following Yoda? You don't "Practice" religion you buy into it. Instead what we should accept as humans is that labels don't automatically make an individual good or bad. What makes these individuals want to help out the poor and the homeless is our evolutionary empathy. Unfortunately those who hold the same belief in Jesus in the other camp see it as a threat to their social pecking order. But the reality neither side wants to face is that the source for justification for compassion or being a fucking dick is still coming out of the same book.

You practice sports. You practice music. You practice math and science. Religion is not not a practice any further than looking for excuses for your own desires.

Fair point. Quite often, my liberal atheist friends and I will go round trying to close homeless shelters and food kitchens. For shits and giggles, we sometimes order a HUGE meal and eat it in front of homeless, hungry children while making *yummy* sounds.
