Just because chimps didn't learn tool use from farmers doesn't mean they didn't learn it from our ancestors. We have been using tools for a very long time and sometimes must have lived in close quarters - especially back when our ancestors might have been, at first glance, mistaken for chimps.

Chimps will not evolve significantly.
Nature's aim is not turn every animal into a smart human.
Whatever mutation caused us to evolve the way we did has not happened to any other animal. So far.
Forget trying to teach them anything. Nobody taught us.
I cannot see them, even in 1000 years, hunting with home made bows and arrows.
