The pole is one sided.
The 'pew' pollsters did not include Sunni Muslim votes. Islam is sharply divided among 'denominational' lines. All the countries in the poll are not know for large Sunni populations. that would be like polling primitive Baptist or second Baptist about Roman catholic doctrine..
Sunnis are the largest sect of Islam it is often refer to as orthodox Islam, they represent over 90% of all muslims.. To a strong Sunni all other forms of Islam are just as heretical as Christianity.
We should be asking what the displaced Syrians (Sunni) think about ISIS.(Sunni in Jihad) In an honest setting I truly believe we would not hear the answer we would expect. Because as a Sunni they are forced to embrace the principles that has their brothers fighting a jihad, even if they themselves are not convicted (right now) to take up the fight.
