Because when you're deluded you can't know it otherwise you wouldn't be deluded.

I'd know, I've experienced multiple delusions in the past. What I just said also makes sense I hope you'll find Big Grin

IOW: Deluded people can't believe they're deluded. Because if they knew it they'd have a grasp on reality, the delusion(s) would collapse. Beliefs are on and off switches that give momentum and power.

I know what I say sounds crazy to unbelievers. Before I became a Christian I felt the same way about some of the things the Bible teaches. But sometimes things that sound crazy turn out to be true.
His invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

But far more commonly they merely turn out to be crazy.

I have absolutely no idea what convinced you. I reckon you got emotionally weak and believing made you feel better. People often turn to Jesus when they get low. But - that's just a guess. If you were actually convinced logically I'd love to hear by what out of curiosity and can't imagine it being an at all rational reason - I guess it's possible but I doubt it with every essence of my being.

I'm not knocking your belief in a higher power/god figure etc. It's the Christian part, along with, accepting the book that goes with it, as a guide to that figure....

They'll change their minds when they see him return.

If they didn't change their mind when he resurrected from the dead, I doubt they'll do so if and when he comes.

That's because it didn't happen the first time, either.
