I didn't mean anything by it. Maybe you should stop being so sensible about words.

And I was only joking too. I'm sorry if I caused any offense.

Yes, Darwin happened. Yes, scientists overwhelmingly are not believers. That doesn't mean anything. People weren't as exposed to these ideas until the internet came along. And it's still a work in progress, but it will happen eventually.

Evolution has been taught for generations now. Yet the rates aren't slowing. I will say, you do have faith...despite evidence to the contrary. Hmm, that sounds familiar...

Dodgy

I was talking about the internet. You went right back to before the internet.

I don't think you were. You need to relax a bit.

Let's stay on point and keep it simple. We're talking about belief here. I'm saying we can free people from their religious dogmatism and help them embrace a freer mindset. You say we can't. Tell me why not.

Can you think of one example of that ever happening?

People change their minds for their own reasons. When they finally change their minds it never seems to be by an atheist convincing them their belief was false... it's always in their own time and for their own reasons.

Also, I have good reason to think we're getting rid of religion. Not faith. Reason. Big difference.

The better question would be, if I care if it's getting out. I realize, it's a problem in America, but where I live, as I say pretty often, it's not even a topic. People simply don't care. Many, according to Gallups religious polls, don't believe anyway. And if they do, they don't rub it into anyone's face. In general. I'm sure, there are some obnoxious believers, but they aren't on the public radar.

Lol. Now you really are projecting.

Lol. I'm hardly ever serious on these forums: When I called you a 'stupid bugger' that was totally not serious. I never even use the world 'bugger' seriously.

I was just entertaining myself because you try to come across as really intelligent and you often consider others to be stupid, so I always find it very funny and ironic when people outsmart you Hehe

But their 'own time and their own reasons' doesn't really mean anything. You are, essentially, a product of your environment. You can't have any ideas in an intellectual vacuum.
