Peace.

Yeah, typical religious rubbish.

Not hardly. Name one Faith other than the one discussed that agrees with my view, not only scripturally but also in works.

Also; hat signifies rubbish? The fact that you don't believe it?

The fact that faith or God is even used makes it rubbish.

Do you have faith that you would not kill your children under normal circumstances? Have you ever had to test that Faith in order to know it's validity?

Again; what about the concept of a higher power than yourself is rubbish?

The fact that you are making the rookie mistake of confusing religious faith with non-religious faith means I am clearly smarter than you.

If you have any critical thinking skills, then you could learn for yourself how religious faith is akin to stating, "I have faith that god will allow the sun to rise tomorrow." Whereas, non-religious faith is more akin to reality, by stating, "I have faith that the sun will rise tomorrow."

After all, the sun does rise every day. Only religious people rely upon the falsities of faith, because they are relying upon the belief in something that cannot be proven to exist. The sun rises not because a god wills it, but rather because it does it naturally on its own.

Are you implying that the only thing stopping you from killing your children under normal circumstances is your faith in your god?

So, are you merely erroneously conflating religious faith with every day faith* like Kitan suggested, then?

*I hate the use of the word 'faith' in this context. I'd rather go with something like 'reasoned assumption based on previous knowledge, experience, and/or probability'. I know, within a certain margin of error, how my friends and family will act in a wide variety of circumstances, how my trip into town will go, etc. Sure, I could be wrong, but something as far out there as killing my children (not that I have children) is a tragic accident, and by definition not a normal circumstance in and of itself, even if the events surrounding it were normal until then.

I like that definition. Still faith is used every day, but for some, in regard to a creative force, somehow people act as if it is blatantly erroneous. Indeed it was and is experience that continually strengthens my personal Faith and as such the faith that can be held towards me.
