I was a lawyer for about a decade. Then I took time off to raise kids and never went back. My lawyer husband supports us. He works for the courts, not a private firm. I sell artwork, and maybe make a 20th what he does. We put my earnings away for the kids education and our retirement. We live on his. Without him, I'd have to get a real job again. In the meantime I do our investing, and much of our home repair.

We have a comfortable but not really wealthy living. We are mostly frugal and splurge on travel. We have mostly traveled in the U.S. and Canada since having kids. Before that we traveled in Europe, mostly Italy and Britain. We are taking the girls to Europe for a second trip this summer. After they are both in college we plan on traveling for about a month abroad each year in the spring or fall.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
