Question to Theists About the Source of Morality

RE: Question to Theists About the Source of Morality
Poor old dark matter, no wonder it's hiding given the number of tu quoques that get thrown at it.

I should add that no one (I know of) makes important life decisions based on the existence of dark matter.

Mr. Hanky Wrote:No. You. Didn't! You couldn't even pick him out in a police lineup. How about biographical data? What, none of that either, and still you claim to have "personal" relationship with that "person"?

I call poo!

When you lift folded hands to the sky on bended knee, or whatever it is you do when you call it "prayer", the  obvious fact is that the only person who you are conversing with is yourself when alone, and when it's out loud in company you are doing no more than addressing the crowd.

\Mr. Hanky Wrote:So limitless that he can't even show you his face without killing you? So limitless that he couldn't cut his own stone tablets, much less write a book without the use of other people's hands, and then he couldn't even get those hands to write with any consistency on their bio data and how events played out? You need to stop posting, and read that bible some more - read all of it, and then read it again!

God doesn't have a face, He refers to His glory is so great man would die seeing it.
Who said He didn't cut the stone tablets or write on them, God chose to work through man and the Bible is completely consistent.
It's not me who needs to read the Bible, you've shown you know nothing about the scriptures, I've read and studied the Bible over many years, that's why I recognized you know little about it.

Quote:
Godschild Wrote:What errors? Man killed Christ not the Father, man was able to kill Christ because Christ allowed it to happen, this is stated in the scriptures that seemingly you haven't read or you wouldn't make such statements. Yes, it is the God of the Bible.

Mr. Hanky Wrote:Intentional martyrdom is suicide. Suicide is evil.

Christ didn't commit suicide, He gave his life to save mankind, just as a soldier does for his country. Glad to see you do not agree with the end of life pros.

Mr. Hanky Wrote: Child sacrifice is evil. Filicide is the most horrific abomination against humanity imaginable! Attempting to mitigate the impact of evil with more evil is pointless, and particularly stupid.

God has never called for child sacrifice, He calls it an abomination just as you did, see you agree with God. Man himself came up with child sacrifice the evil is within man. See I told you I can see your lack of biblical understanding.

Mr.Hanky Wrote:We are supposedly in that god's image? Well, I'll give you this, being one who generally believes that man has created gods according to his own image, it's disturbing to think there was a man who was bad enough to create your god! Perhaps such an incredible multifecta of evil really does require something supernatural. But I know you won't judge the actions of your god, because he told you not to.

Just because man was created in God's image doesn't mean man can't go astray, we were given free will and we abuse it daily, this is why Christ gave his life for us. He wants to save us from ourselves. Many gods have been created by man, they were created by those who didn't want to worship and have a relationship with God.

Mr. Hanky Wrote:You know there happens to be stronger evidence for the existence of dark matter than there is for the existence of any metaphysical god? This will always be so for any scientific idea, including geocentrism and the Flat Earth conspiracy theory. It's like that because they are logically falsifiable ideas, while your assertions aren't in any way. That's why they don't belong here!

No there isn't, it's never been observed even in a lab, not one little bit of evidence. I'm not saying dark matter not there, I'm saying there is absolutely no evidence, it's only something rolling around in man's mind. Man created those ideas not God, just as man has created the idea of dark matter and one day it will be proved or disproved. My beliefs belong here just as much as yours.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

So much non-sequitorial dodging, it's a pity that you don't understand just how shameful the way you spin the tenets of your cult would so obviously be, even to you, if you saw it done just that way for ideas which you don't believe in.

@ Mr. Hanky, funny you may think you are, childish is the reality of your actions, please care on though then I want have to think you could bring a serious argument. I've seen this very tactic many times and it hasn't worked yet, you're just dodging serious discussion. When you can bring something serious to the table I'll respond again.
