In my country, there's only one or two geographical areas that have snow in the winter. I never really had snow fall in my city ever in my life and I rarely see it. 35 Fahrenheit (about 2ºC) is as cold as it gets

The locals were impressed. I live in northern Virginia, and after the blizzard this weekend, we were left with over two feet of snow. The roads are still complete shit to drive on.
While every school district here is closed, my own school has a two hour delay. Many roads, especially secondary and country roads are still not plowed. Yet my school is opening late.

I did not pay attention to the weather report today and had quite the surprise at the white crap assaulting the Omaha metro this afternoon.
