When my aunt in Virginia got snowed in (their cars in the driveway looked like bumps in the snow) she tried to get her sister in California to FedEx a shovel. I suggested that she use a dustpan.
I spent a winter in Battle Creek, MI. it was so cold, they had to put salt on my shadow. I couldn’t move cause my shadow was frozen to the ground so they put salt on it. It was so cold, we had to break the smoke off the chimney.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

What was the point of doing this ??

I remember a blizzard here when I was a kid. Took the county 3 days to get our road open. We were EXTREMELY lucky the electricity stayed on. We had to scoop snow off the roof of the garage, we had a rafter crack from the weight of the snow.
Neighbors sent their oldest son over on a snowmobile to check on us everyday. Our farm kitties had to be dug out a basement window well. I realize now they were lucky to have survived. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
Back in January/February of 2004, my ex, son and I we living in our country home in SW Washington state.
It hardly ever snows in this region, and even them, most of the time we get an inch or two, and it's gone the next day or so. This time the forecast called for six inches or so on the valley floor, IIRC. Our house is at 660 feet above sea level, the valley is very close to sea level. We figured we'd get snowed in for a day or two and we could use the 4WD SUV to get out of we need to. By mid-afternoon on the first day, there was fifteen inches of snow in the ground. I had sick feeling in my stomach - our house is at the end of about a mile and a half of gravel road, which was a spur off of a very minor paved road. There would be now plows coming within two and a half miles of our home. I wondered how long it would take to melt all that snow. Two days later, there was close to three feet of accumulated anowfall. The temperature had been hovering between 17-20F. On the ninth day, the electricity went out. We were already out of food that didn't need cooking, and most of what was left was frozen solid in the garage freezer. It was only a matter of time before the pipes froze, as it had not been warmer than 20F in over a week, and we had no means to heat the house. Our son was a toddler, and we had two dogs to look after. We had to get out. Tried to make it out in the 4WD after digging out as much as I could. Made it about a hundred yards past the end of the driveway. One of our neighbors towed us to the paved road with hia tractor and we eventually made it to a motel about 20 miles away that still had electricity. I fucking hate snow. Our snow stopped and is well melted by now. It's 11℃ here which is quite hot by Scottish standards.
