Yet my school is opening late. Schools are open with that much snow? Where I live, they cancel school if we get so much as a dusting of snow. I grew up in a place where heavy snow in the winter was common, though. I gotta say, I miss it. I'd take your snow if I could!

The roads are still complete shit to drive on. I heard the DC area got hit pretty hard, as did most places from Williamsburg on up. I'm about 3 hours from away, but my area didn't get much snow; maybe 1-2 inches. Didn't stop people from losing their ever-lovin' minds, though. Hope things clear up there soon.
Snow is melted in Scotland, but we're in for high winds and extremely heavy rain. Oh the joys.
We got a light dusting here. Overall it's been a fairly mild winter.
We had well over 110 inches in my area of NH last year. We usually get around 55 inches a year here on average. It's also not uncommon for our winters to start in November and end in March or April. So, when I see all the breathless coverage of the Mid-Atlantic blizzard, I'm pretty much like that Kermit the Frog drinking iced tea meme: yup, that's what happens when you get real quantities of snow.

It's an adult based school - not a public one so, yeah, there were a total of nine student in class yesterday between our two classes. I didn't bother going last night but I did go tonight and we had four absences and one student dropped out entirely. That brings our total class size down to 13 people. Since new people join during the start of each new curriculum, we always have people move in to the senior level at the end of a curriculum. Surprisingly, no one is moving to that class at the end of this semester. However, three of us well be moving on at the end of next semester, myself included. Eight more weeks. I can't wait!
