Did you know, it's supposed to be exactly 500 years, since the first human said "kiss my ass"? At least in recorded history. Götz von Berlichingen, knight and plunderer, told an official trying to arrest him for arson to "lick his hindparts" (hinden lecken). hinden lecken! How do you use that properly? More, more!

In German it's still called the "Götz-Zitat" (Götz quote), made immortal by the famous writer and poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. He wrote a piece about Götz von Berlichingen and quoted him on the asslicking matter. In German it's "lick", not "kiss". RE: taking the lord's name in vain

I guess I always misinterpreted the first version of the ten commandments. Anytime I said "God dammit", people would look at me like "You're using the lord's name in vain!" and I'd be like "Fuck no, I'm not." I always thought it meant not to use his name for personal gain, or to do things in his name that he would not desire.

That means that anybody who believes Jesus was god would not be able to . . . oh, collect boatloads of money and live in huge mansions. Buh-bye, TV preachers! I doubt that very many preachers would actually give all they had to the poor . . .

Then obviously the godboy didn't mean that!
Oh, Jeebus Crisps (stole that one from RocketSurgeon), of course not. Godboy said whatever the preechurs want him to have said. Whatever makes 'em more $$, ya know? They all suck rancid pond scum from gold-plated monogrammed straws.

Jesus cunting Christ, I've just hit my thumb with a hammer.
I use a lot of theistic swearing, and it doesn't make me feel weird at all. I just think it's funny. It often comes out without any prior planning, and it's just a reflection of the language I've been immersed in.
