The latest NBC/WSJ poll now has him behind Cruz nationally. The Republicans might be starting to realize Trump is unelectable. I was hoping they wouldn't figure that out until after they nominated him.

Some of these polls just have to be wrong.

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has raced out to a 20-point lead over his nearest 2016 GOP rival in a national poll released Wednesday that showed him pick up 8 points of support since earlier this month.

Mr. Trump was at 39 percent in the Quinnipiac University poll, followed by Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida at 19 percent and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas at 18 percent.

This latest one came after the torture remarks. That may have been the straw that broke the camel's back. I hope not. I really want to see this guy nominated because either of the Dems would have to fuck-up extremely bad to lose to him. He's burying himself.

I agree. In fact, I'd like to see all of these armchair tough-guy-wannabes running for office (and their fucking supporters) subjected to a couple of pages out of the SERE training playbook -- followed by some remedial education in international law. The discourse in this country would be elevated immediately.
