The Problem with Christians
RE: The Problem with Christians
Exactly. Crying off with "you won't accept my evidence" is arrogant presumption and not your call to make, AJ. If you're concerned that your evidence might not stand up to examination, it's nobody's problem but yours. Get better evidence.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I'm posting this on every page you fail to respond to this simple question. Just in case people forget that you didn't present any so far.

I've simply stopped talking in AJW's general direction (though I continuer to fart that way) because he is like Shakespeare's tale told by an idiot "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing".

Show us some real evidence, AJ, or stop wasting our time with your bullshit already!

This is not the place for theist apologetics, where bullshit is your bread and butter - one thing science will not tolerate is bullshit.

This site really needs a feature for throwing virtual bricks at lying assholes like you - your garbage is that disgusting and shameful! Nobody with a science degree makes your nebulous claim to "a science degree", and then prattles on to reveal all the scientific understanding of a 3rd grade student. Lies are the bread and butter of theistic apologetics, but that isn't called for here, and one thing science will not tolerate is dishonesty. Now you're down to spewing nonsense from your magic book - between that and the squalling of a two-year-old, the two-year-old makes better sense.

You need to show us the evidence, or fold already - put up or shut up!
Mr. Hanky loves you!

It always boils down to that. There's no real argument to be made for theism, so they have to resort to their book. Probably ignorant of the fact that it's as convincing as a Superman comic to us.

Incorrect! Superman comics have a more consistent canon and an actually-moral actor as the protagonist. As a guide to life, I'd say Superman comics are a million times more useful.
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

I'll never forgive superman for not taking Hitler out, when he had the chance. Angry

The conjunction as you put it, appears to be constant now, and has been for thousands of years. As a Christian I don't believe the conjunction was always that way otherwise I would be denying that God made Adam from the dust.

Not at all. In the beginning God created life from the dust and then imbued all life with the capacity to reproduce after its own kind. This became the rule, or the law of how life was continued from that point on. There really is no conflict.

Ignoring God created life, you are still begging the question.

I don't "believe in" abiogenesis, I feel it is a promising hypothesis. What does faith have to do with anything?

By the way, what is your degree in?

I have a couple of "science" degrees too (along with my Arts degrees): An AAS and a BS... I was a music major. Somehow I don't that qualifies me in the STEM fields.

That's why I don't go there if someone comes up with natural sciences. I refer to the people who actually know their stuff. Which is always in stark contradiction to the christian narrative.

He did take him out. They went to a movie, then Supes took him clubbing. It was later back at Hitler's place that the phrase "faster than a speeding bullet" was born.

Actually, Superman is far less moral even than "God". He's now ridiculously overpowered to the point of being godlike, yet only manages to deal with villains and disasters he actually bumps into. With his super-hearing, super-speed and flying powers, there's no reason he couldn't handle every single crisis on the planet, all the time. There should be no such thing as downtime for him. Yet he is known to waste time trying to nail Lois Lane while simultaneously hiding his secret identity (which she already knows) from her. To quote from a Cracked article on the subject: "Superman has all these ridiculous abilities like super balloon-making and super ventriloquism, but he also has super senses. He heard the terrified screams of every person who died. And given the world they lived in, some of them were specifically screaming, "Why is Superman letting me die!?" "

In my opinion the character was way more interesting when all he had going for him was speed, strength, bulletproof skin and the ability to leap tall buildings. All the add-ons just made him boring.
