I wonder if there is a single atheist (proper) scientist out there who rejects evolution? I'd be interested to know that.
It seems like a redundant question, I know.
To avoid the No True Scientist, clearly a proper scientist is one who follows the scientific method and is suitably qualified in their area of expertise. If they produce bullshit that isn't properly peer reviewed, then they are not a proper scientist.

Yes, thank you for clarifying! Indeed, very specific, objective qualifications need to be met in order for one to rightfully call themselves a "true scientist."

I think that for a materialist, they have to hold to one of the number of forms of evolution (or some unknown form). Even the "poof" theory of evolution. Are there any atheists who are not materialists?

Wow! That's...an interesting idea. It's like creationism and evolution had a love child!

I'm not saying it is a widely held theory.... and it is a nickname at that.

What on Earth are you talking about?
Are you mistaking evolution for abiogenesis, as is par for this course? Or are you telling a joke?
I think you'll find the "poof" theory is the one where god makes things out of nothing.

I'm sorry, I seem to have gotten us off track... I didn't mean to discuss the validity of evolution, and the many theories of it. We can get back to your claim "If there was credible, demonstrable evidence of any of it, we wouldn't be having any of these discussions." Which was my original contention until we got diverted.
