Just go and read all the post about him they are everywhere, even threads about him, he's regarded as a god here and you know it, just afraid to admit it.

Regarded as a god, but I'm afraid to admit it? Wow, you're either utterly dishonest or delusional. Or both. What's the point in engaging with you if you "think" you already know what other people have experienced and believed, as well as what they think?

Then it ought to be easy to cough up some evidence to back up your assertion, oughtn't it?

Don't br silly.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Dear sir, I am new to the forum, may I inquire as to what metric you are using to evaluate a persons salvation; specifically the one that you are basing this statement upon? I have a small idea of what your scriptural basis may be for holding such an opinion, but it is in poor taste and denotes ignorance to make such an assertion.
I am sure your heart and intentions are in the right place.
If these people are correct in what they say then there is a verse in Revelation that say's they will never be accepted into God's family, they get no second chance. With that said then why would I be here if I believed they were ever a Christian to start with. Do you believe a person who has had a personal relationship with Christ could ever deny Him, I don't and have made that very clear many times, you should go and read many of my post before judging what the Bible says, that's right you've judged the Bible because that's where I get the truth from. If you believe me to be wrong then you need to show me though the Bible where I've erred. Nice to have you here.
GC
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Once you get the believer to either start trying to debunk science, or try to co opt science to point to their club, they lose. Maybe not in their own brains, but they know, or at least should know, every religion in the world pulls these tactics.
There is not one religious writing or holy book that can replace scientific method. Nor do the morals of antiquity reflect how far humanity has changed since then. So all they can do to justify it is cherry pick. Reject what they don't like and try to incorporate, way after the fact what they think they can use, even though they don't understand that the ambiguous language of unscientific writers has nothing to do with our modern understanding of reality.
At least we have GC talking about what they "think" is science.

Well good luck with that. I'm just going to pull him up every single time he types "want" instead of "won't" until he finally caves in and corrects it. Baby steps and all that. Petty maybe, but I'll leave the tricky stuff to you lot while I concentrate on the small things.

Edit: Don't be ridiculous, man. If you make the claim of most quoting him, provide some links, damn it. And if a thread is over Dawkins, well it's in the nature of the thread that Dawkins might come up as a topic. It's also in the nature of these threads that not everyone agrees when another member adores Dawkins, Harris or Hitchens. I'm certainly not the only one constantly saying that I'm an individual, not the least bit interested in atheism. Atheism doesn't make who I am, it's just my absence of belief. What makes and interests me are different things entirely. And I certainly don't need any prominent figureheads to worship. As I said before, I haven't read a single line written by any of them to arrive where I am.

A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost
I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

Whoops, forgot to mention my fondness for nice sweater puppies as well. Their little pink rubbery noses are so sweet.

Why do you even care. First, I'm not longer christian, for the last 26 years. You are over it too, by all accounts. Secondly, being called no true scotsman by a fundie is a badge of honor.
It should be a badge of honor. It SHOULD roll right off of my back. I shouldn't care for one split second what this holier-than-thou, sanctimonious, egotistical, ignorant asshole thinks. But ah, I still have memories. I still have memories of years of being that little child, crying in the dark, begging god to talk to her. I still have memories of the evil that was done to me in the name of Jesus. So it's an emotional response to a vicious, stupid, judgmental lie, and I have had more than enough of those. No, it's time to stop letting these fundie christards dump their judgment upon us.
