Haha, I'd say when it comes to rationality we're more or less the same. Maybe you're a little more, maybe I'm a little more, let's just say we're about equally rational eh? Smile

As for erudite.... personally I think you're more well read than me. I also think you're a lot more well educated than me, whilst I wouldn't say you're more intelligent -- we're both intelligent -- I would reckon that when you were my age you were more educated than I am, and probably when  you were younger than me you were more educated than I am now at 27. I'm quite poorly educated and intellectually lazy. I have trouble focusing on reading most books and I have zero qualifactions, I never finish learning anything.

I seem more erudite and well educated than I am because I tend to give my educated opinions on the few subjects that I have read up on and thought about a lot. I tend to not get involved in all the countless subjects I know fuck-all about lol.

I'd say I merely have a relatively large vocabulary. But reading a dictionary for 8 months everyday can do that to a guy, lol.

Maybe in the past and the same with the books, but I've lost all my zest for life. To be blunt, I'm just waiting to die and it's taking too long... I still keep waking up every day. I've really noticed a mental decline... I'm lucky if I can take in half the posts on here, let alone understand them... I just can't process anything like I used to. That never used to be the case... I used to be full of curiosity and excitement to learn.

The only thing that can over rule my free will is the bloody wife!
And she does it all the time!

(Do you think I ever get a say in what I'm having for dinner! Noooooooo!
No God, No fear.

RE: Free Will - Yes/No?
I thought of (hopefully) a clearer way to show the free will fallacy I was talking about earlier. It was only ever an aside, but I seem to have confused some people.

Consider this argument. I'm not trying to make this argument myself, I'm simply examining it to see if it makes sense. I am spelling out in explicit detail what is being implied.

"If it is the case that all humans have no genuine decisions to make, I think it is morally correct to make the genuine decision not to punish any crimes."

I hope this makes it clearer that it's a malformed argument. It is trying to persuade the reader to do something that it has stated is impossible as a hypothetical premise. I'm saying that if someone puts forward an argument that is formulated like this, it should be dismissed as illogical and useless. And I have heard people try and use this kind of argument.

Maybe a video? I think you should explain in via interpretive dance. That'd help me.

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
