Like most things, I don't think you've thought this through...
THE WHY they are a target is what is getting down played.
They were targeted because this guy was a closet homo, and was trying to atone for sin.
The idea being if this guy loved hetro hookers they would be targeted, or if he had a thing for women who simply wore provocative clothing they could be a potential target. Really anyone the west allows to break sharia law which the punishment of the broken sin is death. His obligation as a measure to repent for his sin is to bring as many of these law breakers to allah as it is his only hope as well as the law breakers only hope for eternal life. This is true for all Sunni (95% of all muslims) which makes these guys potential time bombs. And why the government through the news media is working so hard to keep a lid on all of this
The homosexual community was just this guys vise, yet nothing beyond a hate crime is being held up as the root cause. More persecution more martyrdom more bullying from the world. So the solution is to give homosexual leaders a political voice and to ban what the media are classifying as an assault rifles.
Which again does absolutely nothing, because our problem here has nothing to do with guns nor homosexuals, but with broken people who have declared war with soceity. If a military combatant finds himself behind enemy lines and has no gun, does he simply adopt the culture or does he strike out some other way? Last I checked a certain nitrate based and drag racing fuel makes one hell of a bang, and none of those things are illegal for anyone.

Then what community are you speaking of?
Perhaps you should learn use English accurately? And while you're at it, stop being a cunt.

I'm sorry do you speak for a whole community? Are you the chosen representative of the atheists on this website or of the Lgbt community? If not then know my grasp of the language is just peachy, it's just you see yourself more highly than you should.

Exactly not my point, numbnuts. You were the one who mentioned community. I am decrying the idea. Are you so mentally taxed you cannot remember the exchange? Did you forget that you brought it up? Are you drooling on your laptop as we speak?
Are you on any medication we should know about? Or is this simply your native stupidity?
Getting snippy because you're too stupid to write clearly is not very Christian ... but it is very Drippy.

I did mention community.. so what??? Do you speak for everyone outside orlando? If not your specific take/objections are meaningless, as they do not represent how people view the info being trickled out. Which means by taking offense or the role of 'the community' suggests that you do indeed rate yourself more highly than you should. My point stands (even if you don't understand them.)

If this is about not looking down on gay or transsexual people, yes I do view myself standing on higher ground than the ones feeling the cumpulsion for any reason. Looking down on others is always a sign of pettiness, be it for religious or nationalist reasons. Mostly it's just their prejudices being at the helm.
Well, maybe I'm looking down on people looking down on others. But I can live with that.

I'm pretty sure I've made myself plain on this. If you're too stupid to understand simple English, that's your problem.
Maybe next time you'll put a few of those seventeen neurons to work before you run your mouth. Then again, you don't strike me as the brightest bulb in the chandelier.

I was impressed by what seems to be the only thoughtful thread that Drich has ever made. It's a shame it was ruined by people who are incapable of not talking about guns. The obsession gets old from both sides.

The guns was used to commit this horrid act, they were not the cause, would you blame the kitchen knife industry if a wife stabbed her husband to death? Feel free to answer that question if you like. We need to get the core of the issue here, and leave out the instruments out of the discussion. This man if he was a homo-sexual and was trying to justify his actions with a religion, was completely wrong in every humanist way. The fact that he was interviewed by the F.B.I on three separate occasions should of been a major red flag. All the evidence I've seen so far pointed to him being majorly mentally-ill.
