That would make Jesus "partially" god.
I can't see your point there. God limiting himself to human form makes him not God??? I think you're looking at it from Jesus the man, which would be the correct deduction (as we all are potentially "partially" God). From God's perspective he is fully Jesus.

Only exhibited human traits? I think you and the bible are at odds there...
Yes. Please prove me wrong. Jesus invoked God to perform miracles from within his self imposed human form.

If you do then you have to account for why you do not dismiss all the evolutionary dead ends of Christianity including the original Jewish sect. If you do not dismiss religions on this basis then you have to explain why the 1000s of dead gods and their religions aren't equally as valid. Which is it?

The Jews still practice their religion and Christianity is still alive and well. The false sects of christianity have for the most part died out and the reason is simple they did not stand up to the scrutiny of Gods Word. As for all those dead gods how is it you think that they can have any validity against the living God of creation and redeemtion. No knots in my thinking or beliefs.
I'm impressed with how you continue to avoid answering questions. So let me try again and I'll be really specific. Do you dismiss kosher dietary laws? Do you dismiss the practice of genital mutilation of infant boys? Or do you accept them as Jesus did? If you accept them aren't you in the wrong religion? If you do not why are you at varirance with the god you worship? Does the fact that Christians do not practice these rituals anymore make Judaism false?

The answer to your first question is yes, isn't it obvious that the kosher diet was meant for the Jews.
The word is circumcision and no I do not dismiss it, I see no religious value in it accept for the Jewish people however there are health reasons for circumcision. Paul has made it very clear that circumcision is not a requirement to salvation that would constitute salvation by works and salvation is by grace it is a gift unearned. How is it that you believe that Christ accepted these practices. Christ said it is not what you put into your body that makes one unclean it it what comes from the heart that can make one unclean. Read Acts 10 and 11 you will find your answer there if you do not believe me.
I'm not at variance with God I have a personal relationship with Him and try to obey Him as best I can. You see it is not I who does not understand it is you who has no idea what Gods word teaches study the scriptures before you bring such questions to the table. Judaism is not a false religion it is incomplete because it does not include Christ as saviour of ones soul.

Nope, there are no knots. It's all completely irrational nonsense, but distinctly knot-free irrational nonsense, which is always a bonus. So, old religions died out because they 'did not stand up to the scrutiny of God's word'? Even though God's word has apparently let Hinduism exist all this time? Hmmm. You might want to rethink that one.

Please read my response again and you will see that I was referring to the false christian sects that bit the dust because they could not stand up to God's word. As far as Hinduism, Buddhism and all other religions God says there is only one and I Am He.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Yes, but why haven't these died out, along with all the other dead gods? Why can't the scrutiny of God's word kill those off?

'False religion' is the ultimate tautology.

'I care not much for a man's religion whose dog and cat are not the better for it.' Abraham Lincoln

No True Scotsman Argument for the ten millionth time!

Quote:because they could not stand up to God's word.

Tell it to the Cathars....it wasn't god's fucking 'word' they couldn't stand up to but armies of blood-soaked xtian persecutors! You really live in a fairy tale world, don't you!

Quote:The origins of the Cathar movement lie in the missionary work of the Bogomils, a dualistic sect that emerged in south eastern Europe in the 11th century. During the 12th century the doctrines of the Bogomils were brought to western Europe by missionaries and soldiers returning from the second crusade (1147-49). In about 1150 the first Cathar bishopric was established in France. A few years later two more bishoprics were set up in the regions of Albi and Lombardy. By the end of the 12th century the Cathars had eleven bishoprics - five in France and six in Italy.
Such was the perceived threat posed by Cathar doctrine to the mainstream church that in 1209 Pope Innocent III proclaimed a crusade against the Cathars. There followed twenty years of ruinous warfare, during which cities and provinces throughout the south of France were devastated. In one of the worst episodes of the war almost the entire population of Toulouse, both Cathar and Catholic, were massacred. Resistance continued until 1243 when the Cathar fortress of Montsegur in the Pyrenees was captured and destroyed. Those who refused to renounce their beliefs were often tortured or put to death by fire. In spite of continued persecution the Cathar movement continued through the 14th century, only disappearing in the 15th century.

Let's not forget the immortal words of that great xtian Arnaud-Amaury!

Quote:Arnaud himself was appointed as military leader of the crusaders during the first stages of the war in 1209. This was a perfectly normal occurrence at this time, but Arnaud's love of terror and killing was perhaps above average, even for a senior churchman. It was he who was responsible for the mass burning alive of "many heretics and many fair women" at Casseneuil", for the massacre at Béziers, where some 20,000 men, women and children were killed in an "exercise of Christian charity", and for the immortal words "Kill them all. God will know his own".

God has said that He would always expose the false teachings about Him and this is why the false christian sects have fallen. As for the other religions that have survived up till now they are not teachings directed against Him or false teachings about Him. Why they have lasted this long I do not know but God has said that there is only one true God and that He is that God. So in this statement you could say He has dealt with those religions until the return of Christ.
