It makes more sense for Muslims to go to Muslim countries where people have similar ideas about religious freedom, sexual equality and equality of sexuality.
Plus the fact some of these countries have ridiculous surplus wealth. Quatar, Brunei, and Kuwait.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

Saudi doesn't deal with Syrians officially as refugees, but has issued residency permits to 100,000 Syrians. Iraq and the UAE have each taken over 200,000. Kuwait and Egypt have taken over 100,000 each.
Canada has taken 48,000. The UK about 15,000. So far, the USA has taken about 4,000 (and we're losing our minds over them).
The GCC countries are now, finally, taking in refugees? Amazing. Saudi was only offering to fly in Fascist Imams to Europe.

I've said this in another immigration post but I feel strongly about it so I'm gunna pretty much say it again here.
I have actually lost friends over the whole immigration thing. I have no problem with immigrants and know that majority of our 'white families' (mine included) came over from Europe both legal and illegally. I know the American dream gets them here because they want better for their family. During the whole Syrian refugee ordeal someone I have known since I was 14 compared them to candy. He had a picture of a bowl of M&M's. It said "If I told you one of them was poisonous would you risk eating them?" I went off the fuckin wall. I yelled about how human beings are not fucking candy and how you don't leave other people to die just because you are scared of the damn terrorists. I mean I went off on a tangent. I am still on egg shell terms with my god mother over it. Other countries might be different because they are of their own heritage and they weren't literally built on immigrants.

Also if your signature makes my scrolling mess up "you're tacky and I hate you."

Exactly! Even Hungarians were immigrants in the middle of Europe once. Even if it was more than a 1000 years ago...

Frying pan to the fire, BM. One look at the refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan will answer that question.

For the most part, it's better as those countries are more compatible with their way of life as Paulpablo mentioned earlier in the thread.
But let me ask you this, why isn't your country doing much about it? We're a tiny Island nation and have taken 15,000 so far. The US has only taken roughly 4,000.

Why? Because the vetting process - the one that the orange baboon says doesn't exist - is so onerous that most can't get through it.

Just as a follow-up, BM. I wonder how many of those 4,000 were xtians? Probably with sponsors from bullshit protestant groups over here who only later found out that Syrian xtians are not True Xtians. In fact, they have been classified as heretics since the 5th century. But, with dumb-as-bricks evangelicals that sort of thing will take a while to sink in.

And what's your opinion on that? Do you think the US should be doing more to help Syrians?
