What if the 9 year old could recite what the devil said in Latin in real time? What if she through Satan accurately predict the next 6 terror attacks???

The point is not the validity of this particular situation but the way you all approach a story like this with a "the world is flat and man will never fly attitude."

All I am suggesting is you do a little digging before you dismiss anything out right.

But those situations aren't logically plausible. So hypothesis of such situations is rather obtuse. But I can see where you're coming from a little more now.

How exactly would we know Satan was doing any of that? We'd have no possible way of determining where the information was coming from. She could claim any source whatsoever, that doesn't make it true.

Of course no one offered any proof regarding the girl's condition; we're not psychologists and that fact was pointed out several pages ago (not to mention none of us know her personally.)  The point of this was to get the girl help from someone who could perform a professional evaluation of her condition and provide treatment if necessary before something bad happened.

It is not closed-minded to refuse to entertain the unevidenced, superstitious notion that an invisible, demonic entity has somehow magically implanted itself into this little girl's brain and is giving her commands. That's just common sense.

I suppose if I started hearing voices in my head and claimed that a million malicious nanobots from outer-space were rewiring my neurons, you'd stop and think "Wait, I've got to be open-minded about this!"

Because honestly, your assertion is as absurd as the one I listed, and therefore, there is no reason to be open-minded about it. Remember, if you're too open-minded, your brain will fall out.

Full examine the situation. examine what was said and when, see if their were any events that triggered this change of behavior, investigate not only what she would have to say but also look into her friends and social media accounts. And again make an assessment if she needed medical treatment or if we can 'silence her demons' together.

No, the devil is not 'often found' in the details. That's the point, we've looked and found no devil. What we have 'often found' is that symptoms like this are treatable with medication and therapy. When there is a danger, you go with the most probable solution. This child isn't some religious experiment.

Again, what would you do? If your child said she could stop cars with the power of her mind, would you let her play in the street to see if it's true?
