The plural of you is you...where I was raised saying "y'all" is so looked down on that people won't even say "you all" for fear of someone thinking they said y'all. So we often say "you guys"

I need some of this support on these damn Facebook pages I follow. I don't know why I follow them because I know they infuriate me sometimes but I hate to let a debate go to close minded Christians. Because I'm in Texas a lot of people are religious so pages you'd think wouldn't mention god, such as the one infuriating me now called Texas Hill Country, randomly bring it up and I get in way over my head. I haven't even been a member of AF for 2 months yet but yall are the ones I keep running to when I can't handle all the religious freaks around me.
Ya know when someone tells you to calm down and it just fuels the fire? No? Hmm must be just me lol well being told to get over it does the same thing. I was told to get over it when saying in god we trust is a horrible motto for us. Not all Americans believe in him. I want to smack human decency into them but I can't and I can't just let it be like a normal person so you guys get to hear (... read?) Me rant. Can't yall all just get on Facebook, join the page, and back me up? Lol ;p
I don't follow pages that infuriate me. Sometimes you can see my comments on "Peace begins where religion ends", "We love atheism", "We fucking love atheism". Also on "Stop homophobia" and "Homophobes are morons" with the latter two seem to be run by atheists. But NEVER on pages that can accelerate my rage.
Well the thing is that usually the page specifically that I was ranting about doesn't bother me. It's primarily just fun Texas stuff, places to go, local fun news, pretty pictures, etc. Every now and then the whole you gotta be a cowboy to enjoy Texas and you hafta be Christian to be a cowboy thing surfaces and that infuriates me. Like the whole sign issue. The sign is maintained by the city which is government and it says "This is god's country don't drive through it like hell" They posted how they didn't want to lose their iconic sign (cause of course traditions triumphs asking to keep god out of government) and I went off on that but that was awhile ago. Yesterday they posted the anniversary of putting In God We Trust on our money and how awesome that was so I went off again. On the other hand I am in a photo contest for their magazine lol. As for the rest of the fights I get into are on news pages and honestly if I didn't follow them I wouldn't know what was going on in the world because I don't read the newspaper nor have cable. I did stop going into the comments section of 9gag.com because I knew that it angered me. Pretty proud of myself for that one lol.

Where I come from y'all is 100% normal and if you say you guys or, heaven forbid, yous guys like a Yankee you will be laughed at. We have one lady from New York that works here and we actually hafta translate sometimes for her. We were giving out popsicles to the customers the other week and when she asked them if they wanted an ice pop they didn't know what she was talking about. Between her and the other corworker that is from South Africa calling them ice lollies our poor customers were so confused. I had to keep going behind them and telling the customers what they meant lol

Spppeeaaakkkkinnnn about the photo contest.... anyone with facebook wanna help me out? Just like my picture? I'm currently in 5th place but only by 2 votes. The top 10 get into the magazine and the top 3 get prizes. I know these three pictures (will only link the one with the most votes) are not my best work as an amateur photographer but they are the ones that fit the criteria and that I had on me.

I live in South Georgia now so y'all is normal. You guys isn't too badly laughed at. Having moved from place to place, I have a hard time understanding why people make fun of people for speaking a different dialect. Still I try to remind myself (and other people) that you is plural so you don't really need to say you guys or y'all or youins or anything like that, just "you" is fine.

In portuguese and any other latin-derived language, the plural you is a different word, which makes it less ambiguous.
Singular: tu
Plural: vós (although, it is more common to find people using "vocês" which is then coupled with the third person plural of the verb. Vós has become deprecated to old or formal style)

In English the plural you is not different, but most people make it different anyways
Spanish has tu and voz also but I hate voz. I took 6 courses in Spanish and every single time they said "don't worry about learning voz no one uses it anyways". No I want to go back to all these people like fuck you. Contrary to popular belief in this state there are more Spanish speakers than just Mexicans. And even some Mexicans use voz. My life is a lie.
