Black lives matter protestors block roads in the uk

They've blocked roads, or got plans to block motorways and tram lines in Birmingham, London, Manchester and Nottingham.
Preventing people going on holiday, to the airport, preventing emergency services vehicles getting past, and people in general going to important jobs or just travelling in general.

I was hoping one of them would get run over and killed but that hasn't happened yet.
If any innocent people do die as a result of emergency services not being able to get through or because of these major transport routes being blocked I hope these people are held responsible.

I know you hate white people but it's a motorway, there's going to be more than just white people using it.

I wonder what the demographic of the protesters will be, working class older black people or teenagers who are either jobless or students with nothing better to do except fuck up everyone else's day for the latest hashtag.

I'll be honest.

I had a similar attitude when I first entered the thread, until SC told me that BLM procedure was to move to the side for emergency vehicles. Even if I don't agree with their methods of protest, at least they are doing that.

If a bunch of white gimp students try and stop my car in the way to work yes I will want to plow through them,
If they stopped me on the way to see my daughter tomorrow or get my MOT checked on my car yes I'd want to plow through a bunch of white teenage students.

Hopefully it would happen right as their taking a selfie and posting it on Twitter.

Maybe saying I want them to die is a bit harsh, it's probably more accurate to say I'd have no sympathy if one did get run over.

I think you make an interesting point. The first thing you think of when you hear of folks blocking roads and inconveniencing people is vehicular homicide. How would you feel if you had roadblocks put in your way when you were trying to find work, trying to walk on the sidewalk in peace, or trying to get home unmolested; because of the group you were born into? If hearing about other people blocking roads makes you angry, hearing about the obstacles being placed on people's lives to keep them from equal prosperity and power with the dominant group should make you angry too.

Peaceful protests work less well when they break the law.
I agree to people being arrested for it.
It's understandable that road users would be pissed off.
Wanting one of them to be run over though is too extreme.

It would be interesting to have stats on the most effective means of peaceful protest.

And that's not even exclusively BLM doing it. It's all the civil disobedience groups blocking roads at any given time having done it. Because that's what it is, civil disobedience to make a point, not trying to hurt people.
