Speaking of the SC2, the original SCXD, also a modeler, also tube-driven, is a good little amp too. The BF Deluxe sim on it is really, really good.

I think you should do a small financial forecast, and determine if buying this would cause you to be unable to pay your bills.

If so, don't buy it.

If not, then you have to decide whether this instrument will give you enough to offset the enjoyment or relief you might obtain by spending its price on other things.

Back about a year ago, I decided to spend about $9000 on a near top of the line camera, 3 very fine lenses that would be able to do the camera sensor justice, and a computer to process the images. I have not regretted it.

This is legit. I was going to say the same thing. Plan your bills make sure you can pay them and have enough left over to cover it. I would not dip into savings or charge it to a credit card. Worse comes to worse set what money you can aside until you can afford it. Is it a hafta buy now or lose it forever kind of thing?
