Why Do I hate creationists (theists in general)

What do you think are the behaviors and attitudes which you specially hate?

I hate the pretense of some who believe atheism has a monopoly on reason and that theists, by definition, are irrational, stupid or ignorant.

I hate the belief of many religious people that all those who aren't in their special club will be subjected to eternal torture after they die.

I wonder what the % would be here. Someone, probably EP, made a thread to that effect (that atheists are smarter on average) not too long ago. Did you see it? I'm pretty sure the majority said no with many atheists espousing the same in their comments.

I hope this isn't what you get from this board. I for one don't think along these lines and I don't think the majority of my fellow atheists think that way. People like you aren't irrational. I don't share your opinions, but I don't take you for an ignoramus either.

Some theists here however play in an entirely different league. If someone believes the earth poffed into existence some thousand years ago, the flood being a real god inspired event and similar bullshit, I don't grant them as much. They simply close their eyes and go la, la, la, I can't hear you. The perfect example of wilfull ignorance.

But rest assured, when it comes to other matters, I extend the same courtesy to some atheists also. They're just as ignorant, sometimes even despicable. Only on different issues.

I write GOD as opposed to God because I am generally speaking of a singular ultimate creative force or spirit. If I was to write God or Lord then I would be speaking of a subservient existence under GOD and formed by GOD. If I was to say god as you do then I would be using it in the same context; as in, I would be using it to refer to no a thing that I didn't accept as GOD or even of GOD.

My specific theology? The name?

I don't say that I wholly agree with any established theology. Honestly because I just can't be sure if their direction is utterly right, due to lack of exceedingly in depth inquiry.

I have some names or symbology in mind, but it is rather pointless to go into that.

Some theologies that interest me, or at least partially agree with what seems right to me on multiple levels are universal reconciliation, Calvinism, the Baha'i faith, Druze (which I would really like to learn more about, but don't agree with the secrecy), SDA, Mennonites,...uhm, okay, this isn't going to work like this.

I can only humbly ask that you perhaps ask about certain theologies and I could agree or disagree with, and expound on further if you like.

I'm sorry, I am extra tired at the moment. I've been busy. I do look forward to any honest inquiry any might have.

Hell is a primitive bronze age ideology which was used as a way of mental tourture to those who commited crimes.

God and Goveremnt were similar ideas that arrived at similar times, to control people.

God would watch you even if you did get away.

Now the government has enough power to do that... Always.

God was just a way of striking fear into those who did not have the same morals as the government in which it arose from...

God is dying.

Let's put him out of his misery.
