Oh boy. I can add even more fun twists to this one.
My parents didn't seem bothered at all when I came out as bisexual. They probably would have had the same reaction if I said I was gay. My parents were really pissed off and wanted to hear nothing more about it when my brother and I told them we didn't believe in a god. I think my dad blew a gasket. However, I'm essentially no longer part of the family since I came out as transgender. This was the big one that ended it all. We don't talk anymore.

As a parent there is absolutely nothing my kids could tell me about themselves that would make me love them any less, I could not live life without my kids.
Having been cut off from most in my family for years, and not speaking to my parents for decades over choices I made in my life, I couldn't put them through any of that shit.

Since I already have many, many children.....I'm guessing my mother wouldn't give a shit in either case.
