At the moment, the crime of rape isn't quite covered by that ideal like most other violent crimes are. That's my current objection. As far as prevention, the law does not necessarily need to step in there. As I said before, education of society is what will help there.

Then we are mostly in agreement then. I totally agree that rape is a poorly handled crime, as I say this as a victim of sexual assault myself. I guess the only contention I have is that I don't ideology has a place in fighting crime.

Ha, ha, I just had to laugh at how patently ridiculous this is. Try spending some time around a Kung Fu master and get back to me on how much of a chance you stand against him. For fuck's sake, they'll tell you to be careful how you move around them, because if you make a sudden move that their brain interprets as a threat, they'll hit you 3 or 4 times before they can even realize what they're doing and stop themselves. I wasn't talking about me in particular. I'm well aware that certain people have better fighting skills than others, as I am that some of those people are the best at what they do. My point stands, however. You can bring anyone down if you really want to. That's my personal opinion and experience backed by others who are skilled fighters compared to me, no need to get pissy.

There are lots of things you can do to a professional fighter. Just because they have an advantage over you, doesn't mean you can't have one over them. Let's stop discussing this, however, I never intended to make this into a debate about fighting. I misinterpreted what was being talked about and consequently went off-topic. I don't intend to go any further.
