Having been to a CofE Primary school this is INCREDIBLY worrying. Even at this school that had to stick to the national curriculum we were herded into a hall everyday and made to pray and listen to protestant indoctrination. With these "free schools" I imagine it could only get worse!!

Public money should not fund faith schools.

I find them totally repulsive, personally. Not getting enough indoctrination at home kids? We'll screw with your mind all day, and compromise your education while we're at it?

I think parents should decide what children should be taught and how not some distant group of bureaucrats.

As someone who was homeschooled for this reason I sympathise, but consider Chad in this country many of these very schools were part of the "Trojan Horse" scandal, in which these children were taught by concerned parent governers and parent approved teachers that all Christians (Wahaabists seem unable to distinguish between whites and Christians, they're all just "crusaders") need to be slaughtered for the glory of Allah.

This is an occasion where the crazy really needs squashing by "burecrats" rather than given a free pass, at the country's expense no less!
