But I don't think linear accumulation is the only variable in one's feeling of meaning of life nor the only variable affected by fasting. If we want lasting depth of experience we need to dig that space within our selves. I can end up in the hospital for any reason and create a fantastical story that those doctors would consider credible, not because of any actual reasoning but instead due to confirmation bias.
