The term "perfection" already exists, re-labeling it as "god" does not help your case.

One step at the time folks.
First of all you got to understand where you are going to?
Are all your efforts done in order to perfect yourself?
If not why you struggle to perfect yourself?
Once you understand where you are striving to go to then I am sure you are striving to go towards perfection.
Where else would you try to go then?

Once you sort out this question then come the second question.
What is the perfection?
It is something physical, mental, spiritual or what else?

If you go one step at the time I am sure you will get in the correct direction.

Now what about God?
Why should he-she be perfect?

Who say so?
Thousand of NDEs experiences say so but again in the atheistic thinking that is all fantasy.

But why worry so much anyway?
The truth doesn't pop up all of a sudden in this case.
The only way to know is to go step by step and at the end all will fall in place like a piece of puzzle that fit perfectly in the jigsaw.  Lightbulb

World hunger problems would no longer be an issue if we could feed people as much as Rik is being fed

Yours is a perfect contradiction mate.

On one hand you think that........Flaws are so much more interesting........on the other hand you enjoy your
ALE-L21 which give you a sense of pleasure.

Pleasures give a sense of peace of mind and all this lead to perfection so you contradict yourself.

You never thought about it mate, did you?  Wink

I can struggle to reach the Twin Towers in New York, it doesn't mean I'll ever get there. We struggle because those who didn't struggle didn't survive and reproduce. It's programmed into us, not because there is perfection, but because we have an instinct to struggle and persevere. This tells us nothing about perfection, and everything about how evolution defines what we perceive as good.

Got any evidence that perfection exists and that it is a god (whatever that is) ?

How about "nothing at all?" Got any evidence otherwise?

Getting in the right direction isn't the question, it's what is in that direction that is the question. I can point at the sky on a dark night, it doesn't mean that there is anything at the end of where my finger is pointing. You've got the cart before the horse. If your "direction" is pointing at nothing, then there's no reason to try to reach where your finger is pointing.

I'm sure you'll tell us, using a bunch of bare assertions and cool stories.

Or at least it's mostly fantasy. Just because the bible mentions a real place, Jerusalem, doesn't mean that everything the bible mentions is real. You're making a terrible non sequitur that because some aspects of NDEs may have a basis in reality, therefore everything in an NDE has a basis in reality. That just doesn't follow.

At present it's unknown what NDEs mean. You've jumped to the conclusion that they mean conscious life after death, karma, and reincarnation. That's a hell of a lot of guessing based on something that is merely unexplained. Stop guessing and start providing evidence or fuck the hell off.

When you actually begin to take things step by step, send me a PM. All I see in the meantime is a bunch of fantastical leaps of logic.

RE: Where else?
Little Rick, is as annoying as a rich guy, who would preach his lifestyle "I live in a most fulfilling way and you, poor people, should do the same, because you will eventually regret your lazy and unproductive lifestyle".

People will be like "But dude, im content with what I have in my life, even if its tiny, compared to you". Rich guy- "No! Live like I do, it the most productive way there is. Yours is miserable". The only response rich guy would get is"Please, go fuck yourself".

Thats counterproductive.

I'm going down to Auckland in a few days.

Quote:Are all your efforts done in order to perfect yourself?

No, of course not.

Quote:If not why you struggle to perfect yourself?

I don't.

Quote:Once you understand where you are striving to go to then I am sure you are striving to go towards perfection.
Where else would you try to go then?

Well, Auckland's a lovely place - a peach of a city - but I wouldn't call it 'perfection'.

Quote:What is the perfection?

Perfection is simply the idealized lack of imperfections.

Quote:If you go one step at the time I am sure you will get in the correct direction.

What, you mean 'south'?

Quote:Now what about God?

I agree that NDE as a claim of godly perfection is a fantasy. And - for what its worth 'NDEs experiences' is an impressively redundant phrase, sort of like 'UFOs objects'.

Quote:But why worry so much anyway?

If I gave you the impression that I'm worried about this, I apologize.

RE: Where else?
If you spend your entire life trying to be perfect, then you will miss out on who you really are, and honestly, that should be good enough. It is for me.
