Which is still as dumb as the last time you said it. If Jesus died for my "unbelief," what the hell do I need to believe in him for?

Anyone know what the word "sin" comes from and what it meant in context? Popcorn

It is strange that a god would make people capable of thinking for themselves, and get mad whenever they start thinking differently from him. One of the biggest sins is unbelief, and since belief in the Abrahamic god relies on faith, then is it really that surprising that most people don't believe he exists? Then you have the whole issue about sex. The most fundamantal aspect of any species, and it's basically a sin to do it outside a very specific context.

You have a god that says slavery, rape, and mass murder is ok, within certain boundaries. Yet consenting same sex adults making love is an abomination. The new testament may be slightly better, but the majority of the bible is the old testament, and there's very little positive to say about it.

Do you accept that he died for your "unbelief"?

I think you missed the mark on that one, buddy. That's ok though; you're only human, and not perfect.

It doesn't require a perfect man to make a perfect shot.

It requires trying again, over and over and over, failure after failure after failure till you honed the skill required to hit the mark more often than not.

And practice may never ever amount to perfect...but it's orders of magnitude better than none.

No, sin is violating God's law.

No, sin is violating God's law.

What would cause you to violate the law?

Going by the Bible, not simply unbelief. Many believers sin as well.
