Trump Tax Plan Would Add Trillions To Debt; Clinton Plan Would Trim Deficits, Hike Taxes On Wealthy

Two new Tax Policy Center reports quantify the dramatic contrast between the latest tax plans of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Clinton has proposed a significant tax increase on high- income households and businesses. Trump’s plan, while less ambitious than the version he released in 2015, would still largely benefit high-income households and result in a substantial boost in the federal debt.

Trump’s latest plan would reduce federal revenues by $6.2 trillion over the next decade, with nearly half of the tax cuts going to the highest-income one percent of households. Clinton, by contrast, would boost federal revenue by $1.4 trillion over the next decade, with the bottom 80 percent of households receiving tax cuts and the top one percent paying over 90 percent of the net tax increase.

Sorry, Trump: Selling Health Insurance Across State Lines Wouldn't Lower Costs

Trump’s health plan would “modify existing law that inhibits the sale of health insurance across state lines,” the campaign’s web site says. “By allowing full competition in this market, insurance costs will go down and consumer satisfaction will go up,” the proposal states.

No, as usual the baboon doesn't know his ass from his elbow.

“Currently individual states can decide whether or not to allow insurers to sell plans from another state in their state,” the Center for Health & Economy wrote about Trump’s health plan earlier this year. “However, even where this is allowed, various barriers such as the difficulty of building a network and attracting enough customers to create a large enough risk pool make it unappealing to insurers to pursue this option.”

“The barriers to entry are not truly regulatory, they are financial and they are network,” Sabrina Corlette, the director of the Georgetown University Health Policy Institute told the New York Times last year.

A longtime Trump Organization executive — who the Republican presidential nominee frequently cites as proof that he’s not a misogynist — is backing Hillary Clinton over her “supreme sexist” former boss.
Barbara Res, who worked 18 years for Donald Trump and served as executive vice president and senior vice president of his company, said her longtime boss is dangerously unsuited in every meaningful way to serve as president of the United States.
“First of all, everyone knows he has no experience,” Res told CNN’s Alisyn Camerota. “I mean, the idea that he would be president is just ridiculous. I have other developers I worked for who were just as smart or smarter than he was, and I wouldn’t vote for them for president, either.”
She said legitimate presidential candidates should have some experience and knowledge of government — neither of which Trump has on even the most fundamental level.
“The way he shows himself, he doesn’t seem to know basic civics,” Res said.
