Can you explain why Hillary sucks?

My point is, we don't know all the reasons they stay together. Power? Probably. But is that the only reason? Maybe they are good friends who have found a person who they can talk to and seek support from outside the bedroom. That's a valuable thing in a relationship.


Hillary is undeniably power-hungry though, but so is anyone seeking this position. ANYONE, even Bernie,. This still feels to me like judgement because she's female, and power hungry females seem off to most people, even other females. We are taught this sort of thing from birth, so I'm not saying you are a misogynist or anything, just that I really think it affects people more than they might even realize.

No, it's not because she's female, and I don't appreciate your insinuation, especially considering it's based only upon a "feeling" and it's about someone you don't know and rarely interact with.

Studies show more than 90% of people show subconscious gender bias. They don't intend to, nor are they aware of it. It's simply probable Hillary's high dislike rating is at least partly due to that. Like I said, I wasn't accusing you of anything like misogyny. So no need to get overly defensive.

I also accept political reasons for disliking her, such as acations she took while so, and positions she has taken through her political carear, as good solid reasons for disliking her. Those are the answers I'm looking for, facts and reasons. You don't need to back it up with female politicians you like when your are listing real reasons for disliking her.

She's hawkish, bitchy, power hungry, or things about her personal life etc, are not very good reasons imho, though of course everyone is entitled to their opinions. These are the reasons I often see on social media, and they seem more gut feel than logic. Which is fine for personal reasons why a person doesn't like her, but isn't much in the way of convincing others, which is what I was asking for.

Also, to be super clear, I was in no way calling Thump sexist. I even said that outright in the post in question.
I was pointing out that most of us are subconsciously a little bit sexist, including woman. Actually, it turns out that in some areas, women are more subconsciously sexist towards woman than men are. We are trained in this from birth, it is no fault or failing.

I agree, that is a good reason not to like her.  I think in another decade, Democrats will be the new republicans, republicans will be gone, and there will be a new 2nd party for the true left. Green or something, probably.

Nothing really interesting int he wikileaks that I saw, though.

There's also no need to cast people based on statistics, but that didn't seem to stop you. If you weren't trying to slur me, fair enough. But you need to treat me, and others, as individuals, and not as statistics according to any studies you've read, unless you prefer to tank discussion rather than add to it.

Why don't you quote and link the post of mine that made you think, ah, he's one of those 90% ? That would probably help clarify matters.

I don't regard it as being "overly defensive" to defend my position that all people are equal against someone asserting I don't feel that way ... especially when it's only based on their own feeling. I regard that as defending my character, flawed though it is.

Perhaps you don't find it convincing, but have you considered the prospect that you are part of the 90% who has unrecognized biases in your views?

I dislike hawkishness no matter the gender; I think American foreign policy has for too long been too expansive and intrusive upon the affairs of other nations, and too wasteful of the lives of GIs, American prestige, and our limited budget. That is not about her personal life; that is about her policy positions. And I've listed a couple here, and more elsewhere.

I never have called her "bitchy", so tossing that at me is bullshit.

As for matters of personal life, they damned sure speak to character, and are fair game. I don't see you defending Trump against his attitudes about women or minorities on this basis of "that's personal". I wonder why?

I also wonder, why.....as a person who's put his life on the line for the rest of your decisions (regardless of whether or not I agree with them), I'm taken to task for not...personally, supporting another Clinton presidency?  Is this the best you can offer me, a choice between clinton and trump?
