I am a theist, what do you think of my proof for God existing?

Have you asked an obstetrician doctor how babies are caused by their parents, or read any account of human sexual reproduction?

I was a biology major before I switched to computer science.

I have a pretty good understanding of mammalian reproduction. At least at a level above the layperson's understanding.

I don't have to talk to an obstetrician. I have several text books.

Please, is there a point on our future? What does this have to do with your 'proof' for the existence of a god?

And please address my points in post #736.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

You talk about molecules, what about going all the way to the Big Bang and beyond?

Please elaborate.

The big bang describes the expansion of the universe. Not sure what this has to do with mammalian reproduction.

Please, please get to the point...

You say, Simon Moon: "I don't have to talk to an obstetrician. I have several text books.

If I may, have you ever sired a human baby with a woman?

Two humans are going to sire something non-human?

Babies are not the issue here.  We know babies exist.  We can touch them, hear them, see them, and smell them.

There is no evidence for your god.  We cannot touch it, hear it, see it or smell it except in our imaginations, and imaginary things are by definition not real. There are no traces of your god anywhere that humanity has searched so far.  Prayers fail as often as they succeed, and never succeed at doing anything extraordinary such as healing an amputee or bringing someone back from the dead.

No, Mariosep, all you have is an idea of a god, not a real one.  You claim to have a "proof," but you don't.  Your hypothesis is rejected.

Why do I get the feeling Mariosep is going to spin the "God gave birth to the universe" fable?

Dear Simon Moon, when you show up, please tell me whether you have ever given existence and life to a baby with a woman, of course I am sure you know you were caused to come to existence and life by your papa and mama.

No, I haven't had children.

But to reiterate for, I don't know how many times, the 'creation' of offspring is not the same kind of 'creation' you are referring to with your myth of the creation of the universe.

When a humans, or any of our other animal cousins have offspring, the offspring are a rearrangement of existing matter and energy. Human babies are creatio ex material. Your creation myth posits creatio ex nihilo.

So yes, I was caused to come into existence by my parents through the rearrangement of existing matter and energy. I was not caused to come into existence ex nihilo, from nothing.

You are equivocating, AGAIN.

Your thinking processes are so flawed, and you are completely ignorant as to why.

Please, I beg you, get to the point.
