You act as if Chick is condoning child abuse. The whole point of the story is to speak to an abuser and maybe get him to stop what he's doing. I like how you guys sit on the sideline and criticize, but tell me what exactly you're doing to try and solve the problem?

I might add that you were the one celebrating over the guys death, so you have no business trying to get on any moral high horse.

Amoral asshole indeed...
Dodgy
Yes, he was condoning child abuse.  In his little works of fiction, there were dozens of these instances.  Men who beat and raped children, their wives, girlfriends, etc., and they got on their knees and whined at the ceiling and then everything was fine.  There is never any compassion of any kind shown to the victims of these "new christians". Never any justice or legal action for the perpetrators.  - Only the celebration that god will now NOT send them to hell.  And these little sick, twisted, damaging immoral little works of fiction have spread all over the globe.  It's absolutely impossible to figure out how many people have been damaged by his so-called "ministry".
I don't claim to be a saint.  But at least I have some concern for victims of abuse, and disgust over a work of fiction that depicts a little girl as a thing - something less-than-human, to be abused with impunity.  It is impossible to be a sane human being and defend this repulsive work of fiction.  And I'm still glad that he is no longer around to create more of these horrors.  If that makes me immoral in your estimation, then I'll consider it a compliment.

Oh please, your fake outrage over a work of fiction isn't fooling me sweet pea. No, your real anger is at Christianity period.

Like I said you have no business talking about 'compassion' after just celebrating a mans death simply because you don't agree with his literature \ beliefs, of which he has every right to express under the first amendment.

Let's stroll down memory lane shall we...

There was a report on the news tonight about the Sonic in Raymore, MO.  They used to print Bible verses on their receipts.
Now, they can't do that anymore.   (awwww)  So what are they doing?  They're buying big round colored stickers with Bible verses
on them, and slapping them on every bag.  Seriously.
The news station called Sonic Headquarters, and the big bosses said they
didn't care, it was a franchise.  Well, they would care if these were Neo-Nazi quotes.  They would care if they were Satanic Bible verses.
They would lose their collective shit REAL FAST if they were verses from the Koran.  But no, they're BIBLE verses!   They're GOOD.

 Arrgghh   Aaaaauuuuuuuuugggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!   Banghead

This is Bible Belt hell, but some people are complaining.  I can't seem to find the video from the newscast, but when I do I'll post it.

So you the christian if you were to rape someone and that someone was not a christian like you by your own book it's justified.
Would you the person tell the rape victim to pray and get over it or report yourself to the authorities even though by your own book's rules
it's justified.

OK.
What if she's not 'betrothed'?

Oh, and PS.
If we are going to kill men who "rape" women, why are we not lopping off the heads of cows to determine who is guilty in the cases of murder?

Because cows are valuable, well the front half anyhow, according to the Jewish folks.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Well, you did your research, didn't you?  I hope it was fun.  Ad Hominem attack much?  Of course, I did start it by my astonishment that any sane person could defend that tract.

NEVER call me "Sweet Pea".  I reject your offensive, childish attempt at diminishment.

YES, I am angry at Christianity.  I am VERY angry at Christianity.  If you were in my shoes, you would be too.

Interesting that you want to defend a piece of fiction that was so offensive that it is the only one that Jack Chick pulled.  The only one that sick bastard would not himself defend.
My outrage is not fake.  The "message" of that piece of fiction should make any moral person puke.  But apparently, even excusing a tale of child gang rape is ok if your "gospel" message is included.  Why am I not surprised?  The most evil people I have ever met have all been preachers.

And yes, the Catholic Church has helped to pay my bills.  I was a single, self-employed musician for decades.  Most musicians cannot survive without a church job.  In fact, for a while, I was a member of an atheist church musician support group.  There are a lot of us.   I have been upfront with my priest about my orientation and my lack of belief.  He still wants me to play.  The choir members seem to like me.  The music is fun.  Everything else is loony-bin goofy, but the music is fun.

I almost wasn't going to reply to you.  But I thought that the AF members should at least see a response from me.

Yep.  That's because if she's betrothed, she's another man's property already.  If the woman is a virgin and not betrothed, she's forced to marry her rapist.  That's because she's now his property - he broke it, he has to buy it.

RE: One of the worst chick tracts ever
I'd be remiss for not pointing out criticism of a non-heretical Chick Tract is equivalent to criticizing God.

One might even say that such criticism would constitute blasphemy. It's definitely an abomination.

I'd say Huggy74 has already noodled this out, and is being careful to not do so himself.
