Carrier isn't staying. At least, it isn't planning on it. Anyway, why is it that people think Republicans are the only ones who want to keep jobs here?

Actually they are.

Hey Dripshit we know that asshole. It isn't capitalism, it is CRONIE capitalism.

You didn't bother to read shit.

LET ME REPEAT

REAGAN started the age of deregulation. Since then wages HAVE NOT kept up with the cost of living. The GOP in that 36 years has had a majority control of all three branches when you average out that power. They have successfully gerrymandered the majority of state govs and governorships. That has unfortunately put dems in the position of too much compromise.

Now moron, it won't happen overnight, maybe not 4 years or even 8 years, but Trump IS the head of the party that gave us BUSH's two failed wars and allowed the no rules gambling by the banks and cars and housing industry.

Trump is on a path to make the Great Depression look like an economic boom YOU DUMBFUCK.

No... That's called inflation.

Quote:No business owner, big or small is going to hire one more person than they need.
You've never even been a manager huh? Or at least been in business dealing with skilled labor or a trade. When ever you find a good crew/ people who know what they do and work well with each other, a good business owner will mortgage his own house to carry a good crew in hopes of things getting better. Good help is almost impossible to find. So even now if I find a good worker I will hire him even if there is nothing for him to do at the moment. Because again I am looking to the future. With trump's efforts I have no issue going all in now so when the rest of my industry catches up and wants to start hiring my shop is already staffed, and we can hit the ground running when the orders start coming in.

I have worked in places where the same thing is true so I know this is not just me. Any skilled labor or any job where there is a shortage in Help or has a huge expected 'season' comming up will hire staff and keep them as long as they can.
Quote:The more people that come through the door, the more pressure there is for them to hire. WELL, guess who outnumbers who? WORKERS outnumber the business owners so they, not the business owner constitute the bulk of demand.

Spoken like a true blind man.
"They" (Not the business owners) are the supply sport. "They" do not demand anything. why? because if you will not do this job for 8.50, Pedro here will do it for 8.05. Or better yet his illegal cousin will work his ass off for 5.00 to stay off the books.

Do you not see why it is so important to make sure everyone plays by the same rules?
Quote:"We have to pass that tax onto the consumer" BULLSHIT, that gets wiped out by livable wages.
-Or Mr. economist simply push business to work or run in a way that there are no taxes... Kinda like what trump has done with Ford and Carrier.

Remember his administration is not seeking to penalize business for opening up shop and operating in the US actually business all over will benfit from all the tax concession Trump is purposing, which will make for cheaper consumer products, AND Produce Jobs here to pay for said products.

Quote:If one looks at the tax rate between the end of WW2 up to 1980 when Reagan started deregulation and cutting taxes for the rich,  you'd know that at one point the tax rate on the uber rich was 90% and only 50% after all the deductions.

Trickle down is bullshit and does not work.
The 94% rate was to help pay for WWII

The “exceedingly high” part of this question most likely refers to the federal income tax’s “confiscatory” top rates coming out of World War II, which the Eisenhower Administration left in place into the 1960s. During the war, the top “marginal rate” was 94%, but 94% of what? Then as now, income tax rates moved up at distinct break points. In this made-up example, consider a 15% rate up to $25,000, 21% from $25,000 to $50,000, and 25% over $50,000. Those making $50,001 or more won’t pay a quarter of their total income, but rather 15% of the first $25,000, 21% of the next $25,000, and 25% of everything above $50K. That’s why the system is called progressive - the percentage rate progresses upward with income, but the higher percentage applies only to new (marginal) income above each break point. In 1944-45, “the most progressive tax years in U.S. history,” the 94% rate applied to any income above $200,000 ($2.4 million in 2009 dollars, given inflation).
In World War Two, tax law revisions increased the numbers of “those paying some income taxes” from 7% of the U.S. population (1940) to 64% by 1944.

Very few individuals encountered this top rate, however. The actual proportion of earnings citizens paid as income taxes in 1945 was far lower: for the poorest 20% of Americans, 1.7%; for the next 20%, 6.2%; for the middle quintile, 8.9%, for the upper-middle 20%, 10%; and for the wealthiest quintile, 20.7%. Tax rates have fallen since then: the current top level is 35% of income above $357,000, or $30,000 in 1945 dollars. Then the median family income was $2,379 per year. Brackets also have simplified (24 in the 1950s, just six today), yet the federal government takes in far more revenue than 60 years ago and citizens complain hugely about being over-taxed.
http://teachinghistory.org/history-conte...rian/24489

What this taught us that you d-bags want to learn all over again is that, people who have to pay these crazy rates simply take their money and leave. They are the LAST people who Have to pay this crazy rate. So the money leaves the country and props up a Caribbean or Swiss bank. Because even if the bank charges a 25% handeling fee, this fee is still far cheaper than a 94% tax.. It is like investing and getting a 70% return!!!

That is why trump is talking about "Repatriating" money back to the US tax free. Is essence all the million and billionares who sent their money over sea to be legally hidden from uncle sam's auditors (as 'investments') can now bring their money back tax free.

This is huge. This in of itself is a multi trillion dollar 'stimulus' to our eccnomy. You say 'trickle down doesn't work. We will see it in action before this time 2017. Because even if that repatriated money does nothing more than sit in banks like it does abroad, it will allow banks to write more loans. More loans for houses, roads, dams bridges air ports big buildings projects ect... But here's the thing. With no tax to bring the money back AND a reduced corporate tax that money will go directly to work rebuilding the businesses the outgoing administration worked so hard to bleed dry.

Now we will be able to see what a direct stimulus did for the country (Bush's 168 billion dollar money burn) Obama's cash for clunkers another 3 billion set on fire And what trump's 'trickle down' is going to do. It's obvious that a direct stimulus was a gigantic waste of money. So let's see what people who make money do with their own money that the federal gub-ment has not taken. Remember the gub-ment isn't giving them anything. It is simply letting people with money invest in what they will. (The core of trickle down)

You like me have no choice but to wait. So let us wait a year and see where we are at and where we are going lord willing.

And if you need any more proof that Drich lives in an alternate reality, he's saying the economic stimulus was a waste of money and trickle-down economics will work this time, promise. I mean, it's not like trickle-down has been proven to be an abject failure. I'm sure if we just give it one more shot it will magically start working.

Tell me, Drich, how does it feel to be a willing participant in your own ass-fucking?

The race being over is irrelevant. We have future elections so we can correct our mistakes. If one election fixed everything we would only have one.

Our country, like Britain has made a very HUGE mistake and the entire planet will pay for it.

We HAVE seen the SAME script since Reagan, tax cuts for the rich, marginal wage increase when forced but never enough to fix a damned thing, lull people into a false sense of security, then the bubble bursts eventually.

Believe me I DO HOPE I am proven wrong, but that only comes with vigilance and right now after all the bullshit Trump has lied about and back peddled on while running for the party that gave us BUSH, I don't see it.

I see a delusional false sense of security. That feel good can have a short term benefit, but just like alcohol you binge drink and feel really shitty in the morning.
