If you are unable to understand why an technologically advance alien race would be a more plausible explanation for the Bible events, that appeared to be supernatural (if they actually happened), then no wonder you are gullible enough to believe that crap in the first place.

Not saying aliens are the explanation for the allegedly supernatural events in the Bible, only that it is a more plausible explanation than a god.

Not only can jesusists not pinpoint his alleged birth they are equally sucky on the date of death.  I've seen dates everywhere from 29-36 AD.  That's a seven year spread.  You'd think they could nail such an important date down a little closer than that, wouldn't you?

Here's a question for religious theists who have some sort of story associated with their religion. If you had the chance, would you view the events for yourself, to see once and for all what really happened? There's a worm hole open, let's say, that you could look through. Maybe it happened just like you think, maybe it was a bit different, or maybe it was nothing like it.

Would you stick with whatever faith/confidence you have now, or would you check the facts to confirm? Why?

Yes of course, I would want to see for myself.... seems like an odd question!

Why? in any case, It seems like I would learn something that I probably didn't know.

At that point your faith would transform in to the knowledge. And you will be have to choose whatever you want to follow Gods laws. Also, your freedom of choice would be crippled by the fear, for example, of enjoying too much and becoming qualified for some sort of purgatory in the afterlife.

Would you not do as many on AF say and attribute any apparent miracles to mass delusions or extraterrestrials? Seems to me from my time here that any explanation, no matter how implausible, is preferred over divine intervention.

What would it take to convince you that you'd met an omniscient and omnipotent being? Suppose I'm claiming to be God, what evidence would I need to provide you with for you to conclude that I am God?

You'd need a skilled linguist (assuming this is even possible) to ascertain what is going on, assuming the wormhole can conduct sound too.

It's my understanding there were numerous sidewalk preachers then as now, would it even be possible to recognize Jesus amidst the others?  Recall, we have no verbatim quotes from Jesus.

All candidates would need to be evaluated, and I'll be damned to imagine what kind of criteria one could come up with to winnow the wheat from the chaff.

If Jesus is a composite character, or echoed ideas voiced by (an)other preacher(s), this endeavor could turn into a cluster fuck.


BTW, for this to work, photons and sound waves will be removed from the timeline anywhere you examining.  You'll be affecting everything that happens subsequently. 

Additionally, if the receiving end of the wormhole is noted, and you're in the vicinity of Jesus when it happens, his followers are going to conflate your interaction with their present as a manifestation of Jesus/God/Holy Spirit.  You'll have a direct impact on subsequent Christian theology.
