with farm and it's income, a pension and social security, looks like I can't fuck up retirement except by premature death

What's your retirement look like?

I could retire tomorrow if I wanted, I'm 55 and I've been with the company for 20 years. If I'd been smart and gotten a job here 5 years sooner, I'd have 25 years in and my retirement pay would look much more enticing. I'll likely stay a couple to five more years. Then I'll finally catch up on my U-verse queue.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

It looks like Tibby and an giant farmhouse at the moment. Definitely Tibby. Maybe farmhouse.

I'm not sure if Tibby already did, but your rescue is on our donations "list" this Christmas. Could you please share a link so I can do it if he hasn't yet? You could actually start a thread so others who might feel so inclined can help. Merry Middle Eastern Baby Day, Min.
A couple years ago the company doing the pension dropped the 60 year old option, I wasn't too upset.
Their pathetic pension buyout attempts remain humorous annually. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
If I live that long, I'll let you know how it works out.

This is us. http://www.golden-retriever.org/ There is also a link to a Facebook page. And this is Raven ( a/k/a BamBam... I don't know why they changed the name!) I'll be leaving in about a half hour to meet a colleague bringing him down from the north to take him to his new home in Tempe. He was rescued from a hoarder situation on the Navajo Reservation a month ago when two of our volunteers accompanied the Yavapai County Humane Society on a raid with the sheriff's department and was in such bad shape that the vets wouldn't release him until they stabilized him. He gained nearly 15 pounds and was treated for mange all over his body. He's somewhere between a year and two years old and the great news is that he won't remember any of that.
Preferably somewhere between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. In other words someplace cheap and warm.
Just one more off-topic post, but my retirement will include dogs, so only a little off-topic.
Here I am with my sister's golden Hunter. He's one of my best friends. I used to stuff him in my car to go on long hikes just the two of us. Tibby doesn't like him drooling on him in the car, so the hikes are less frequent. |
