The sad future of the democratic party
RE: The sad future of the democratic party
The problem with PC culture we still hold onto the fact that even SJWs says that's a bad word you should feel bad that word is racist and ignorant.
I look at the SJW crowed they are not different from the racists i normally encounter they have so much in common with them it's not even funny.
So in the end the best advice i could give anyone in this generation it's just words if it upsets you no need to be vocal about it for "triggered" grow the fuck
up you can't be acting like a child and get your way you are a grown person. We can still treat words and racism in a proper manner towards fixing this "divide"
and i wouldn't even call it that.

But religion you know Tongue making the worst come out in human beings since... a long time.

It is hard to tell a community that continues to be oppressed and victimized that it has to keep being nice and reverent to its oppressors in order to make change.

Okay, so I'm probably coming from a place of ignorance but is it really true that white people are somehow oppressing black people? How does that work..? Don't blacks have the same rights as whites? Add to that more diversity type of privileges.. So I'm just asking because it just doesn't add up.

It's hard to explain but its a majority no as for the oppression of black because white people are doing it.  However the other side of it is
you can take a good hard look at the black communities and see the sort  of  trouble they are in job wise and see how much the cost of living is.
I have lived in bad areas i have lived in good areas the problem is it is systematic racism.   If you look at the inner cities of America
they are failing education wise and poverty and  other things are on the rise. So the simple answer is no the system on the other hand works against people
who want to make a decent living it's not just a black issue it's a white issue as well to simple put it's everyone's problem.

I'll have to wholeheartedly agree with that. The American system truly is the best in the world in terms of bringing in revenue but when it comes to doing what's best for the people it is probably way behind.

The ironic downfall of such a capitalistic system of getting money slave labor and wages
is the downfall of such a system because the people who are working have no money really to put back into the system.
It's simple supply and demand really in the end. So the irony here is want to keep the economy a healthy one put Americans back to work
give them a living wage and that's it.

just the whole god damn establishment backed assholes just get rid of all of them and the party will stand a chance of winning.

I don't think there is any codified oppression like there used to be, but there is still stereotyping that goes on. Judges tend to give harsher sentences to blacks for example and we should not ignore this. You know there is a "but" coming...

But I think the crowd that just yells "racist" at this are really missing a whole bunch of complexity and in the end are not going to help all that much. Racism is a human failing and will disappear from society at the same time theft does... never.

So how do minorities live with racism? It's already known that Asian Americans are the most privileged race in the USA. This is from a recent PEW research poll.

Quote:Asian Americans are the highest-income, best-educated and fastest-growing racial group in the U.S, with Asians now making up the largest share of recent immigrants. A Pew Research survey finds Asian Americans are more satisfied than the general public with their lives, finances and the direction of the country, and they place a greater value on marriage, parenthood, hard work and career success.

So how does this fact line up with the claim that the problem facing the African American community is racism above all else? It doesn't. Apparently, the "fact" that the USA is 100% racist doesn't slow the Asian community down.

Sociologists have known for a long time that the two main factors affecting the success of any group of people is placing great value on education and maintaining a solid family environment. Asian culture values those things more than other cultures and it shows up in research as above. This is not to say that racism is OK and causes no problems, but to put ALL the emphasis on racism while ignoring the cultural failure that has 73% of blacks born out of wedlock  and valuing education less than any other race is not doing anyone a favor. Certainly not the African Americans.

The other thing I would mention is pretty obvious if you think about it. African Americans are not going to be saved by the government and certainly not by white people. There won't be any reparations (they wouldn't fix the problems anyway) and affirmative action has been around long enough (40+ years) to prove that it's benefits never met with expectations. (Though I still support affirmative action) The solution (whatever it is) will have to come from the African American community itself.

Here's a black guy with some suggestions. I don't agree with everything he says, but I think he's on a much better track than those who naively think that if white people can just stop being racist, black peoples problems will disappear.

If god was real he wouldn't need middle men to explain his wants or do his bidding.

Your hypothesis founders on the rock that is the fact that Trump got the exact same vote as Mittens and McCain before him. He idin't bring new voters into the party, he didn't change the deomgraphics of the party, he did nothing to change the Republitraitor base.

Trump "won" because the Republitraitors' "supress the vote" operation was more effective than the Democrats' "get out the vote operation". While GotV was probably worth 2 to 3 million votes, Crosscheck, illegal voter ID laws, and plain simple not counting votes in Democrat precents was worth 10 million votes and more.

Somewhat true.  I mean, I remember the first time I went to vote was on voting day in 1998.  It took me like 15 minutes and I was in and out.  First time I voted in a presidential election was a little longer, but it was still a quick event.  Even as late as 2008, voting was quick and easy even when I voted on voting day.  They my life went chaotic for a while after that.  I remember voting in 2012 and it took, what, maybe an hour; and this was early voting.  Well, that was Houston, but now that I moved back to Oklahoma, I figure voting won't take quite so long, right?  Wrong.  The line to vote went outside the library, around the parking lot and down the street.  The wait was three hours.  And I was left to wonder, how many people have lives and schedules that are just too full to wait in line for three hours?  The only reason I had time is because I have a car and I had the day off work; change either of those and I'm one of those non-voters.

Still,  I can't help but think, there were so many Republicans, established, well connected Republicans and big Republican media sources, all of which refused to vote for Trump.  This vote shouldn't have even been close.  There were people who were convinced to vote for Trump that simply weren't being counted.  Where did they come from?  How can we convince them not to vote for him again, or how can they be convinced to vote for the Democrats in midterms?  PC culture, as it's being called, isn't convincing them of anything except that progressives are the enemy.  And unless we can change their minds, they're going to keep voting for people like Trump.

@Crunchy.

Ah, the good ole asian canard.  This is a conversation I've had before, on these boards, lol.  Still reading from the script of usual objections.  Rathwer than run through the whole sad affair again...knowing that nothing that can be said about it will affect your opinion in any way - that you won't even recognize the hilariously racist assumptions and ommissions in that very post.........all I can say, is that the prosecution rests.  PC culture exists to provide much needed blowback to opinions and comments such as your own.  I suppose it'll go away as soon as opinions like yours go away...which you;ve just informed us, will be never.
