Talkativeness and Rambling... how do you feel about it?

I'm usually pretty quiet and don't care to be bothered with. But there are times when i don't mind a nice chit chat. If i feel interested in the discussion of course. I usually just engage in small talk, nothing long.
Depends on my mood, and who I'm with.

Pam and I are people of very little words...
When we have people over for dinner, we always spend the night listening. (That's why they all keep wanting to come back!) It's not uncommon for us to drive for an hour without speaking.... That's why she's a keeper...

I guess I'm a reasonably talkative gal, under the right circumstances. I enjoy the exchange of thoughts and ideas that productive, or even just good, conversation provides. It's a real chore for me to talk/listen to people whom I don't particularly care for, or find stupid, though.
I think I have become a better listener over time which is odd given that I am a loner. Now the reason I say this is because both the frequency and intensity
of conversations I have with myself has diminished to the point of non existence. Up until three years ago I would regularly talk to myself but now I virtually say nothing at all. I no longer even think with intensity. I put this down to the meaninglessness of everything in the grand scheme of things so therefore see zero need to waste mental energy as a consequence. I have also with the onset of old age [ I am fifty two ] become more open minded and as such am less dogmatic than I have ever been before. Anger never really goes away but now I have it under control. I only wish it was always so. But what is done is done
A MIND IS LIKE A PARACHUTE : IT DOES NOT WORK UNLESS IT IS OPEN
Depends entirely on how annoying their voice is and if I'm interested in what their talking about.
Certain subjects I can talk to people about all day. If you're someone who literally just talks about sports, or politics, I'm going to sleep.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie
I like conversations... not really random rambles. I love conversationalists. People who will take a five hour road trip with you and make it feel like minutes. Then again, I love being alone in silence. After great talks I always need to rest from the noise lol. I had dinner with a friend last night. She was great to converse with. I got home and adored my silence, though. Heh

Hehe.
I love talking to someone for hours and hours... even all day... and it flies by like minutes and it's like "Woah! Where did the time go? We've been talking this long? " ..incredibly long conversations are without a doubt among the most enjoyable experiences of my life. Am I weird?
I must enjoy it; a friend of mine is able to talk non-stop for hours, with no intermissions or even checking up on if I'm listening or not. I'm the quiet type, and he's Niagara falls.
