Another way of putting it would be to ask if the ends justifies the means?
The answer will probably be: it depends on the actual circumstance and how society as a whole feels about it under the current moral climate. Some countries, yes. Others, no. Both justified!

Most certainly. For instance if the wrongs involved taking out the prez AND the VP. That would be a clean sweep.
