Honestly, I couldn't go back to a dumb-phone.
There's too much stuff that I do on this Android (also typo correcting) that I just wouldn't be able to do on a simple phone.
I understand that there are people who only want a phone and, for those, this seems like a great one... But I've gotten used to having a miniature computer in my pocket. From internet browsing, to reading books, to playing games, to online banking, to music player, to sat nav, to media browser... I can't go back...

Why would I buy a pseudo retro Nokia when I am still using the Nokia that was given to me back in 2002?

It's sitting in the glove compartment of my car in case I break down. I only need to charge it up twice a year. I bring it with me when paragliding or travelling. It has been the only phone I've ever actually owned, even though I've bought two smart phones since then for my husband.

Up until two-and-a-half years ago, I was a phone-only, thankyouverymuch kinda guy. But now I have in my pocket a device that far outstrips my first 286 in every metric of performance, and with the advent of the Internet allows me to contact those whom I love through many different avenues besides phone-only.

For an old fuck like myself, I'm pretty up-to-date, no?

By the way, I had an original 3310, got it in 2001. Goddamned thing was bullet-proof. I put a 1/8" gouge in my screen at work one day, and kept using it for another two years, until battery-obsolescence forced me to upgrade -- 2006.

Does it actually work? The sim voltages have changed...It should be non complaint?

Well I can send text messages. I don't actually use phones as actual phones. Although I tried today and couldn't hear anything but there was a lot of traffic, I was walking and trying to keep it away from my head. I brought a new pay as you go sim card a few months ago when I got the thing back from Germany to keep in the car. I should probably test the phone somewhere quiet.

OK just checked. It does send and receive voice but my husband was extremely quiet although he could hear me properly. Also the first time I tried the phone switched itself off. Oh well. I only use it for text messages anyway.

The answer is most likely no.

Will Nokia phones be bestsellers again?
